1983 DeLorean DMC-12
The Delorean is definitely a head turner. An automotive and cultural icon, the DeLorean or “DMC-12” features brushed stainless-steel bodywork designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro featuring unique gullwing doors and derives power from a rear-mounted Peugeot- ult- lvo (PRV) 2.85L V6 engine. The cars were assembled in ern Ireland from January 1981 to December 1982 when the DeLorean Motor Company (DMC) went bankrupt with approximately 9,000 cars produced. By early 1982, DMC entered receivership, leading to reduced factory operations until May. Consolidated International later acquired unsold inventory and partially assembled cars, resuming production to finish the remaining vehicles on the line. These completed 1982 model year cars were re-designated as 1983 models by adjusting their VINs, increasing the number by 5,000, and altering the “CD” to “DD”.

ucing this 1983 Delorean DMC-12 finished in its iconic color scheme of stainless steel combined with a grey interior. Powered by a 2.8L V6 engine producing 130hp and 153ft. lbs. of torque, this machine is ready to hit the open road with a smooth and steady purr. With its rear-wheel-drive drivetrain, you’ll feel the power and precision as you glide through the streets in elegance.

Equipped with the rarer automatic transmission, rear-mounted V6 engine, mechanical fuel injection, four-wheel disc brakes, three-spoke steering wheel, dual exhaust outlets, power antennae, counterbalanced Gullwing doors, quadruple headlights, body side molding, side marker lights, louvered rear-window cover, bine-style wheels. y updates added to the car over the years such as LED lights, side markers wired to blink with turn signals, 3rd brake light added and many more. Convenience features include front buckets seats, a center console, cassette radio, dual side rearview mirrors, and power windows. The -a-loft has been installed but currently not working.
