This 2003 BMW Alpina Roadster V8 is #184 of 555 examples produced and is powered by an Alpina-tuned 4.8-liter V8 paired with a five-speed Switch-Tronic automatic transmission. It is finished in Titanium Silver Metallic over Sport Red and black Nappa leather upholstery and is equipped with a black soft top, a removable hardtop, staggered-width 20″ Ronal wheels, xenon headlights, heated power-adjustable sport seats, a Harman Kardon sound system, a six-disc CD changer, navigation, and air conditioning. Following registration history in Maryland, the car was purchased by the seller on BaT in September 2022 and subsequently relocated to Kentucky. Work the following March included repairing electrical wiring, changing the oil, and flushing the coolant and brake fluid in addition to replacing the battery and spark plugs. This Alpina Roadster has 55k miles and is now offered with owner’s manuals, a hardtop stand, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Kentucky title in the seller’s name. The Henrik Fisker-designed Z8 drew inspiration from the 507 roadster of the 1950s and features aluminum body panels over an aluminum spaceframe. The Alpina Roadster was produced for the 2003 model year after standard Z8 production ended, and this example is finished in Titanium Silver Metallic with a black soft top and a removable body-color hardtop. Additional equipment includes xenon headlights with washers as well as painted mirror caps, dual exhaust outlets, neon taillights and turn indicators, and front fender air extractors with BMW roundels. Staggered-width 20″ Ronal wheels are mounted with 255/35 front and 285/30 rear Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tires that have 2021 production-date codes. The four-wheel disc brake system is equipped with Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), and the Alpina model received softer suspension as compared to the standard Z8. Additional features include Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and All-Season Traction (ASC). The brake fluid was flushed in March 2023. The heated power-adjustable seats are upholstered in Sport Red and Black Nappa leather that extends to the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Additional appointments include a six-disc CD changer, navigation, a Harman Kardon sound system, leather-wrapped roll hoops, air conditioning, and cruise control. A plaque mounted between the seats denotes this Alpina Roadster as chassis #184 of 555 in the series. Scratches in the left door-handle pocket are noted by the seller. The leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel features Switch-Tronic shift buttons and frames an Alpina-branded gear indicator ahead of the driver. Centrally mounted instrumentation includes a 170-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer with an integrated analog clock, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 55k miles, approximately 200 of which were added under current ownership. The 4.8-liter M62 V8 was shared with the contemporary B10 V8 S and features double-VANOS variable valve timing, individual throttle bodies, a double-row timing chain, and hollow camshafts. Factory-rated output was 375 horsepower and 396 lb-ft of torque. Work in March 2023 included changing the oil, flushing the coolant, and repairing body electrical wiring as well as replacing the battery and spark plugs. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed Switch-Tronic automatic transmission. Additional underside images are shown in the gallery. The Carfax report indicates no accidents or other damage and lists history in Maryland and Kentucky. There is currently a lien on the vehicle, and the seller’s lender will need to be paid off before the title can be transferred to the new owner.
