This 2007 Ford Mustang Shelby GT-H convertible is #423 of 500 examples produced for the model year, all of which were first available exclusively as Hertz rentals. The car is powered by a 4.6-liter V8 paired with a five-speed automatic transmission and is finished in black with gold racing stripes over Dark Charcoal leather. The car was modified by Shelby Automobiles with revised suspension components and exterior styling as well as a Pro-Cal engine management calibration, a 90mm air intake, and an X-pipe exhaust system with performance mufflers. Additional features include a limited-slip differential, a black convertible top, 18″ black-finished aluminum wheels, air conditioning, a roll hoop, cruise control, a Shaker 500 audio system, and a power-adjustable driver’s seat. The car was acquired by the selling dealer in 2023 and it now has 5k miles. This Shelby GT-H is now offered by the selling dealer with the owner’s manual, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clean New York title. The GT-H was only offered as a convertible for the 2007 model year, and all 500 examples were finished in black (UA) with gold stripes as a tribute to Hertz’s 1966 Shelby GT350-H “Rent-a-Racer” promotion. Features include a power-operated black convertible top, a rear spoiler, Hertz badging, power-adjustable side mirrors, dual exhaust outlets, and Shelby bodywork consisting of a revised hood and front and rear fascias as well as a billet grille insert, hood pins, and side scoops. The 18″ black-finished aluminum wheels feature polished lips and are mounted with BFGoodrich g-Force T/A tires. The Shelby GT package included Ford Racing lowering springs, dampers, and front and rear sway bars. Stopping power is provided by ventilated rotors at each corner. The cabin features front bucket seats and a folding rear bench trimmed in Dark Charcoal leather. Amenities include a power-adjustable driver’s seat, a roll hoop, Shelby-branded sill plates, keyless entry, air conditioning, cruise control, power accessories, an in-dash six-disc CD changer, and a Shaker 500 audio system. Plaques on the dashboard and in the engine bay list the Shelby serial number. The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 145-mph speedometer and an 8k-rpm tachometer as well as gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, voltage, and oil pressure. The digital odometer indicates 5k miles. The 4.6-liter V8 is equipped with single overhead camshafts and three valves per cylinder. The engine features a Ford Racing Power Pack that includes a 90mm air intake with Pro-Cal engine management software as well as a strut tower brace. Output was rated at 325 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale. Power is routed to the rear wheels via a five-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential with a 3.55:1 gear ratio. The Shelby GT package included a high-flow exhaust system with an X-pipe and Ford Racing mufflers. Manufacturer’s literature, two keys with electronic fobs, a front license plate bracket, and a pair of floormats are included in the sale. The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in New Jersey and New York. An entry from September 2007 notes that the car was registered as a rental vehicle.
