This 1954 Triumph TR2 was acquired by the seller in 2018 after several decades of storage and was subsequently refurbished with a repaint, an engine rebuild, and a chassis overhaul. The car is finished in green over black vinyl upholstery and is powered by a 1,991cc inline-four joined to a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Equipment includes a body-color removable hardtop, a black soft top, side curtains, chrome-plated bumpers, 15” steel wheels, dual SU carburetors, a Monza exhaust system, and a Bluetooth-capable Alpine stereo head unit. This TR2 is now offered with manufacturer’s literature, workshop manuals, partial refurbishment receipts, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name. The front floor panels were replaced and dents and corrosion around the car were repaired before the car was refinished in the current shade of green. The front bumper and overriders, rear bumperettes, stone guards, and side mirrors were also replaced. A removable hardtop was sourced and refinished to match the body, and a black soft top and side curtains are included in the sale. Photos of the soft top in the raised position are viewable in the gallery below. Body-color 15” steel wheels bright hubcaps and beauty rings and are wrapped in 165-series reproduction Firestone F-560 tires that were mounted under current ownership. Additional service included overhauling the front suspension, rebuilding the steering box, turning the brake drums, and replacing the hydraulics and brake shoes along with the emergency brake cable. The cabin features low-back bucket seats trimmed in black vinyl along with color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Appointments include a wooden shift knob, a locking glove compartment, map pockets in the doors, and a Bluetooth-capable Alpine stereo head unit. Discoloration in the glove compartment can be viewed in the gallery. The banjo-style steering wheel fronts a replacement 120-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, and centrally-mounted auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 43k miles, approximately 100 of which have been added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. The 1,991cc inline-four was rebuilt under current ownership along with the dual SU carburetors. A high-torque starter, an alternator, an aluminum radiator, and a Monza exhaust system have been added, and the oil pump and fuel pump were replaced along with portions of the wiring harness. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. The clutch assembly and hydraulics were replaced during the refurbishment along with the solenoid, wiring, and relay for the overdrive unit. Manufacturer’s literature, workshop manuals, Triumph literature, and spare parts are included in the sale. The commission number above is listed as TS3359LO, and the current Florida title lists a VIN of TS3359 and an odometer reading of approximately 53k miles.
