1996 Audi RS2

This 1996 Audi RS2 was first registered in August 1995 and was acquired out of Germany in 2010 by the seller, who imported the car to Canada in 2011 and has since added 9k of its 113k indicated kilometers (~70k miles). The car is one of approximately 2,900 built during a 16-month production run that ended in July 1995, and this example is finished in Nogaro Blue over an all-black leather interior. The turbocharged 20-valve 2.2L inline-five is paired with a six-speed manual gearbox and a Quattro all-wheel-drive system with a Torsen center differential. Factory equipment includes Porsche Cup wheels, Brembo/Porsche brakes, air conditioning, and carbon-fiber interior trim. Eibach springs and a BN Pipes exhaust system were installed in 2012. This left-hand-drive RS2 Avant is now offered with Canadian importation documents, German registration paperwork, factory manuals, and transferable British Columbia registration in the seller’s name. The RS2 was designed in collaboration with Porsche and was assembled at Porsche’s Rössle-Bau factory in Zuffenhausen, Germany. This example is finished in Nogaroblau pearl effect (LZ5M) with a roof rack. Each panel is shown in the photo gallery below, and the seller notes a wave in the rear bumper cover. The suspension and braking systems on the RS2 were designed by Porsche, and the red four-piston Brembo calipers exhibit Porsche branding. Eibach springs were installed in 2012, and the brake pads and rotors reportedly were replaced approximately five years and 3k kilometers ago. The 17″ Cup alloy wheels are shared with the Porsche 964 Turbo and 968 Clubsport and wear colored Porsche-crest center caps as well as Michelin Pilot Sport tires that should be replaced due to age, according to the seller. The cabin features factory Recaro seats with all-black leather upholstery (N1U/07) and air conditioning. Matching black trim and carpeting is present throughout, with carbon-fiber accents across all four doors as well as the dashboard. The seller notes an area of rust in the bottom-right corner of the rear hatch door, as shown in the gallery. A three-spoke airbag steering wheel sits ahead of white gauges that include a tachometer and a 300-km/h speedometer, with three matching auxiliary gauges below the Porsche stereo in the center stack. The seller reportedly has serviced the car by changing the oil annually, performing fluid changes biennially, and replacing the secondary radiator in 2013.
