This 1946 Ford Super Deluxe woodie station wagon is finished in blue with wood paneling over a brown leather interior and is powered by a flathead V8 paired with a three-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a 1942-style grille, a black vinyl roof, 16″ steel wheels, whitewall tires, hydraulic drum brakes, a wood-slat ceiling, a cabin heater, and an AM radio. The car was refurbished under previous ownership, and the seller acquired it in December 2021. This woodie wagon is now offered in California with an owner’s manual, a service manual, period marketing materials, and a clean Montana title describing the car as a 1942 model. The metal bodywork is finished in blue, and the doors and side panels are constructed of hard rock maple framing and mahogany paneling. A 1942-style grille has been installed. Additional exterior details include Super Deluxe badging, a black vinyl roof covering, chrome bumpers and overriders, a bright windshield surround and trim, driving lights, dual chrome mirrors, and rear-fender stone guards. Body-color 16″ steel wheels wear chrome hubcaps and are mounted with Ford-branded whitewall tires. A spare is housed in a body-color cover attached to the tailgate. The car is equipped with a leaf-spring suspension and four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes. The cabin features three rows of bench seats upholstered in brown leather complemented by a slatted-wood ceiling, wood door panels, and a woodgrain dashboard. Additional amenities include a cabin heater, an analog clock, an AM radio, and black rubber floor mats. The two-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and a Ford-branded horn button and frames instrumentation consisting of a 100-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, amperage, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 96k miles, approximately 300 of which were added under current ownership. The flathead V8 was factory rated at 90 horsepower. Service in 2022 included installing a replacement Stromberg 97 carburetor and ignition coil, rebuilding the ballast resistor, and changing the oil. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed manual transmission. Serial number 99A1149476 shown above on the frame is consistent with that of a Ford or a Mercury product built for the 1946 model year and powered by a 239ci flathead V8. The Montana title cites the number above and lists the car’s Year, Make, and Model as “1942 Ford 21C 1/2 TON PA”, the 21C being a model code for 1942 Ford trucks. The title lists the body style as an abbreviation for “station wagon”.
