1951 Buick Super

This 1951 Buick Super Estate is one of 2,212 Ionia-bodied Estate Wagons produced for the model year, and the car was refurbished more than 10 years ago and was acquired by the current owner in January 2023. Finished in metallic blue with wood side-window framing and tailgate over blue and white vinyl upholstery, the vehicle is powered by a 263ci inline-eight paired with a Dynaflow automatic transmission. Features include a 12-volt electrical system, chrome fender Ventiports, a roof rack, wire wheels, and whitewall tires. This Buick Model 59 woodie wagon is now offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with a clean Washington title in the owner’s name. Delivered from the factory in Sharon Green (08), the steel body panels and roof were repainted in their current shade of blue under previous ownership. The wood framing around the side glass and the split wood tailgate were also redone. Features include a side-hinged hood that opens from either side of the car, three chrome Ventiports per fender, chrome side trim, chrome bumpers, dual side mirrors, Buick Eight and Dynaflow badging, reverse lights, and a turned-down chrome exhaust tip. Blemishes are noted on the hood, and the tailgate wood is cracked near the driver-side lower hinge. Chrome-finished 15” wire wheels are mounted with 235/75 Coker whitewall tires. The 263ci Fireball straight-eight produced a factory-rated 120 horsepower and was rebuilt during the refurbishment.
