Make: Chrysler
Model: Chrysler Town & Country

This 1964 Chrysler New Yorker Town & Country wagon was acquired by the seller in 2002 and subsequent work consisted of rebuilding the driveshaft, servicing the transmission, and replacing the carburetor, exhaust system, water pump, fuel pump, fuel tank, shift cable, alternator, steering box, belts, and hoses. Finished in gray over blue vinyl upholstery, the car is powered by a 413ci V8 paired with a three-speed push-button automatic transmission. Equipment includes power steering, power drum brakes, 16″ American Racing wheels, a flipped rear axle, and a lowered suspension, while the cabin is outfitted with air conditioning, a power front seat and rear window, cruise control, six-passenger seating, and an AM radio. This Town & Country is now offered with a clean Ohio title in the seller’s name. The car left the factory finished in Granite Gray (MM) and is said to have been repainted decades ago. Details include quad headlights, dual side mirrors, gold “New Yorker” badging, and bright trim on the rocker panels, wheel arches, window surrounds, grille, and bumpers. Chrome 16″ Torque Thrust wheels are wrapped in Goodyear Eagle tires measuring 225/50 up front and 235/50 out back. A factory spare and jack are located beneath the cargo floor. The rear axle is flipped and the car rides on a lowered suspension. The car is fitted with power steering and power-assisted drums handle braking. A rebuilt steering gearbox and quick-ratio pitman arm is said to have been replaced under current ownership. The front and rear bench seats are trimmed in two-tone blue vinyl upholstery joined by a color-coordinated headliner, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes cruise control, air conditioning, and a power-adjustable front seat. The clock does not work and the front carpet is said to have been replaced under prior ownership. The squared-off steering wheel has a full horn ring and frames a central 120-mph speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, and alternator status. The five-digit odometer shows 64k miles, approximately 3k of which were added during current ownership.  The 413ci V8 is said to have been fitted with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, a Carter fuel pump, and a replacement aluminum water pump, alternator, and hoses and belts under current ownership. An oil change was performed recently. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a push-button Torqueflite three-speed automatic transmission. An aftermarket dual exhaust system with turbo-style mufflers has been installed. Recent work is said to consist of servicing the transmission, rebuilding the driveshaft, and replacing the fuel tank.
