This 2005 Vemac RD320R was reportedly completed by R&D Sport for the 2005 season of Japanese Super GT competition in the GT300 class. The car was originally campaigned by Kazuho Takahashi and Akira Watanabe for the Verno Tokai Dream28 team as the #2 Privee Zurich 320R. It was subsequently sold to Avanzza Bomex and raced from 2007-2009 as the Rakuten-Bomex and Fields-Bomex #666. The car features a hybrid aluminum and steel structure with carbon fiber bodywork, wishbone suspension, and pushrod-actuated adjustable coilovers, though its engine, gearset, ECU, and digital instrument cluster were removed following the 2009 season. This Vemac is offered as a rolling project on a Maryland bill of sale. The car features dry carbon bodywork, which has been stripped of livery and shows evidence of past repairs from the car’s racing history. A second set of matching wheels with rain tires is included in the sale. The car measures just under two meters wide and features an angled front-mounted radiator with a lower inlet and hood extractors. Intact aerodynamic elements include the front splitter, rear diffuser, and adjustable rear wing, while the headlight covers are missing. The right-hand drive cockpit features a carbon fiber dash retaining partial switchgear, though its digital instrument cluster, other electronics, and seat have been removed. A flat-bottomed race wheel, shifter, and pedal assembly remain mounted. The seller notes that the chassis harness, fuse and relay box are intact and will be included, and the car features a cockpit adjustable front anti-roll bar, adjustable electric power steering, and intact plumbing for the fire suppression and air jack systems. Suspension parts remain mounted under the rear clamshell along with a sequential gearbox case, though the engine, gearset, and halfshafts were either sold off or returned to the appropriate sponsors at the end of the car’s racing career. Corrosion is visible on uncoated steel components. The suspension incorporates equal-length wishbones front and rear, with pushrod and bell-crank actuated coilovers mounted inboard of the hybrid steel and aluminum structure.
