This 1964 Ginetta G4 roadster was reportedly sold new in London and was imported to Canada in approximately 1965, reportedly competing there for several years. The car eventually made its way to the US, where it was owned in California and North Carolina, refurbished by racer Craig Chima in 2005, and purchased by its current Kansas owner in 2009. The car is powered by a rebuilt 1.5-liter Ford inline-four paired with a Quaife Motorsport Rocket dogbox 4-speed manual transmission and limited-slip differential, and further equipment includes dual Weber 40 DCOE carburetors, a Mallory Unilite distributor, 4-wheel disc brakes, a fire suppression system, and a MOMO steering wheel. This G4 was last race prepped in 2017 and is now offered by the seller on its owner’s behalf with an SVRA logbook, spares including two extra sets of wheels and tires, records since 2009, and a Kansas bill of sale. The car features a fiberglass body over a round tube frame and was refurbished in silver during previous ownership. A custom low-drag windscreen is equipped, as are a roll hoop and side intrusion bars that are attached to the frame. VTO wheels wear 13″ Toyo race tires mounted in 2016, and the car is equipped with disc brakes at all four corners that were installed in the same year. The white number meatballs on the doors are reportedly removable. The cabin features a single racing seat with diamond-stitched black leather, an SFI harness installed in 2017, a MOMO steering wheel, and a fire suppression system. Instrumentation includes a tachometer and gauges for oil and water temperature as well as oil pressure and air/fuel ratio. Total mileage is unknown. The 1.5-liter Ford inline-four was reportedly rebuilt six events ago in 2014 by Prather Racing of Wakarusa, Kansas and is equipped with dual Weber 40 DCOE carburetors and a Mallory Unilite distributor. Shifting is through a Quaife Motorsport Rocket dogbox 4-speed manual transmission and limited-slip differential. The car was reportedly last prepped for racing in 2017 and is said to be track-ready. Additional underside photos are available in the gallery below. The sale includes sets of Panasport wheels wearing Avon tires and Compomotive 3-piece wheels shod in Goodyear Eagle F1 rain tires, both of which were reportedly stored covered. Service records dating to 2009 and additional spares are also included. The included Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) logbook dates from 2009 through the car’s most recent outing in 2017.
