This Porsche 911 Carrera race car was reportedly built in 1996 for use in SCCA events and features fiberglass body panels mounted over a tube frame chassis. Acquired by the seller around five years ago, the car is powered by a twin-plug 3.4L flat-six that was rebuilt in 2019. The 915 five-speed manual transaxle was overhauled last year, and additional equipment includes a limited slip-differential, dry-sump lubrication, an ATL 15-gallon fuel cell, Koni rear coilovers, 930 front brakes, a ButlerBuilt fixed bucket seat, Safecraft fire suppression system, an adjustable rear spoiler, and 16” BBS wheels with Hoosier slicks. This 911 Carrera race car was serviced prior to its last race in April 2021 at Summit Point raceway in West Virginia and is now offered by the seller in Lewisberry, Pennsylvania with an SCCA log book, a set of rain tires, documentation from current ownership, and a bill of sale. Fiberglass bodywork is mounted to a tube-frame chassis and is finished in silver with green checkered-flag vinyl graphics and #34 meatballs on the hood, rear bumper, and doors. Equipment includes Lexan windows and a recently-replaced windshield along with an adjustable chassis-mounted carbon fiber rear spoiler, fender flares, and a front splitter. The bodywork fasteners are said to be in need of replacement, and various fiberglass cracks and other track wear are noted by the seller. Photos of the car with the bodywork removed can be seen in the gallery below. BBS 16” three-piece wheels feature magnesium centers with aluminum barrels and are mounted with white-letter Hoosier slicks that the seller reports are in need of replacement. Stopping power is provided by Porsche 930 brakes up front and 993 units out back that have been fitted with a dual circuit master cylinder and a Tilton brake bias adjustment. The car features a Porsche 993 rear subframe with Koni adjustable coilovers along with custom Heim-jointed upper and lower front control arms. A ride-height adjustment, corner balance, and alignment were performed in March 2021. A set of spare wheels with rain tires will accompany the vehicle. The cabin houses a red-painted full roll cage as well as a single ButlerBuilt fixed bucket seat equipped with multi-point harnesses. Additional equipment includes a Safecraft fire suppression system, a Tilton pedal assembly, and toggle switches for vehicle functions. A Hargett Pro 915 shifter is installed and has been recently fitted with replacement Delrin bushings. Photos from the work can be seen in the gallery. A three-spoke MOMO steering wheel sits ahead of a custom instrument panel housing AutoMeter instrumentation including a central 9k-rpm tachometer, a Pyrometer, and auxiliary gauges for fuel pressure, voltage, and oil pressure and temperature. No odometer is fitted, thus total mileage is unknown. The twin-plug 3.4L flat-six was rebuilt in 2019 and features dry-sump lubrication along with PMO fuel injection, an ATL 15-gallon fuel cell, Nikasil-coated cylinders, 11.5:1 compression ratio pistons, dual front oil coolers, and an Electromotive TEC3r engine management system. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Porsche 915 close-ratio five-speed manual transaxle that was reportedly rebuilt in 2020 by Second Gear Performance of Stroudsberg, Pennsylvania. Additional equipment includes a Guard Transmission limited-slip differential and a California Motorsports billet side cover and chromoly bearing retainer plate. An additional photo of the car on track is available in the gallery, along with the SCCA logbook.
