This 1994 Ford Thunderbird NASCAR race car is said to have been built by Bill Elliott Racing Enterprises as a road race specialty car and campaigned by Bill Elliott at Sears Point and Watkins Glen during the 1995 NASCAR season as well as Tommy Kendall and Dorsey Schroeder in 1996. It is finished in the original red with a McDonald’s livery and powered by a 370ci V8 paired with a G-Force four-speed manual transmission and a nine-inch rear axle. The car was reportedly refurbished by Bill Elliott Racing Enterprises in 1998 and campaigned in various historic racing series before being acquired by the seller in 2018. Subsequent work consisted of race preparation, engine removal and replacement in 2021, and maintenance. This Thunderbird stock car is offered by the seller in Arizona with a spare 358ci V8 Ernie Elliott engine, spare parts, memorabilia, a McDonald’s branded car cover, documentation, and a bill of sale. The steel bodywork is finished in red and yellow and wears McDonald’s livery. Features include a rear spoiler, hood and trunk pins, safety straps affixed to the windshield and rear window, and side-exit exhaust pipes. The seller notes that rubber marks are visible on the bodywork. The 15″ steel wheels are mounted with Goodyear Eagle yellow-letter racing slicks. AFCO brake ducts are installed to assist with brake cooling, and braking is handled by unassisted AP Racing discs up front and Brembo discs out back. The seller notes that the chassis was a road course specialty tube frame example and that the shocks were rebuilt and tuned during current ownership. The cockpit features a full roll cage with BSI padding along with a NASCAR safety fixed-back aluminum racing seat, a multi-point harness, a suit and helmet cooling system, and window netting. The dashboard is signed by Bill Elliott and a photocopy of a letter of authenticity from Bill Elliott is included the sale. The three-spoke PRP steering wheel frames a column-mounted Autometer tachometer and four auxiliary gauges mounted to the dashboard. A panel of eight switches is mounted on the dashboard to the left of the column, and a kill switch is mounted to the right of the gauges. The 370ci V8 was built and dyno-tuned by Steve Rolenc Enterprises of Tucson, Arizona, and features a single four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock Victor intake manifold, and tubular headers. The car is fitted with an aluminum Fluidyne radiator with an electric fan and a 22-gallon fuel cell. An engine dyno sheet is shown in the gallery. The Ernie Elliott-built 358ci V8 engine was removed in 2021 and is included in the sale. The seller notes that the engine should be refreshed before usage. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a G-Force four-speed manual transmission and a nine-inch rear axle. The car was reportedly last raced by the owner at the September 2021 SOVREN vintage race at Portland International Raceway. The following spare items are included in the sale: Five sets of stock car wheels and tires Sets of front and rear brake rotors and brake pads Front a-arms Rear axles and four differentials with various gear ratios Muffled and open exhaust systems MSD ignition box Sets of spare springs with various rates Two water pumps Quarter Master starter that requires a rebuild Two McDonald’s race suits and an expired McDonald’s race helmet McDonald’s Racing Team leather jacket McDonald’s car cover with removable window
