This 1999 Porsche 911 GT3 was modified to FIA Group N-GT specifications and raced in various events in Germany and Italy from 2000 to 2004, after which point it is said to have spent time in a private collection before being imported to the US in October 2021. The widened bodywork is finished in a white, red, and blue livery, and power is provided by a 3.6L flat-six linked with a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Additional equipment includes 18″ BBS center-lock wheels, Moton coilover suspension, an air-jack system, a carbon-fiber airbox, a roll cage, a Stilo communication system, a MOMO steering wheel, a single Recaro bucket seat, and a digital instrument cluster with an integrated lap timer. This 996.1 GT3 race car is now offered in California on a bill of sale with FIA homologation records, a CSAI technical passport, US DOT import documentation, and historical photos. The car was reportedly prepared and campaigned by Marrocco Motorsport of Latina, Italy, and wears widened bodywork finished in a white, red, and blue #116 livery with various decals. Additional equipment include a carbon-fiber hood, an adjustable rear wing, composite door panels, plexiglass windows, and front and rear tow hooks. The passenger-side window is cracked, and various dents and blemishes are shown up close in the gallery. Staggered-width 18″ BBS center-lock wheels wear gold centers and Pirelli P Zero slicks measuring 265/645 up front and 305/680 out back. Braking is provided by Brembo calipers over cross-drilled front and slotted rear rotors. The car features Moton front and rear coilovers with remote reservoirs along with modified front and rear subframes. The cockpit is finished in yellow and features a roll cage with a single hardback Recaro bucket seat, a Stilo communication system, and OMP window nets. A carbon-fiber panel mounted in the center stack is fitted with a lap timer, a ventilation adjustment dial, and various switches with labels in Italian. Seat belts and racing harnesses are not currently installed, and the OMP fire-suppression system certification has lapsed. The Alcantara-wrapped MOMO steering wheel wears a yellow centering stripe and fronts a configurable digital instrument cluster mounted to a carbon-fiber panel with custom warning lights. There is no odometer present, and total mileage is unknown. The front trunk area features a fuel filler for the Premier Fuel Systems safety fuel cell, which was manufactured in 2001 and expired in 2006. The naturally aspirated 3.6L flat-six features a Bosch M 5.22 ignition system, a carbon-fiber airbox, a forged steel crankshaft, and titanium connecting rods. The seller states the spark plugs were replaced in February 2022. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle with a mechanical limited-slip differential. Additional equipment includes an air-jack system along with a dual exhaust system with tubular headers. The car is shown above at Misano in 2004, and additional photos taken in period at Vallelunga and Imola can be viewed in the gallery. The Commissione Sportiva Automobilistica Italiana (CSAI) technical passport lists race entries and inspection records at various courses around Italy from 2000 through 2004. Redacted copies of US Department of Transportation (DOT) import documents are shown in the gallery below. Filed under: 996
