This 2001 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 was reportedly converted to a track car in 2001 by Phoenix Performance of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, and was acquired in 2020 by the seller, who subsequently modified the car for use in Spec Corvette competition. Power is provided by a replacement 5.7-liter LS6 V8 mated to a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The bodywork is finished in black, and equipment includes a custom roll cage, a Sparco racing seat, Schroth harnesses, a fire suppression system, and a rev-matching controller as well as 18″ Forgestar wheels, a Wilwood front brake kit with front brake cooling ducts, and Penske adjustable dampers with Eibach springs. This Z06 race car is now offered with logbooks, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clean Arizona title in the name of the seller’s company. The C5 Z06 was only offered as a fixed-roof coupe for increased chassis stiffness and featured mesh grille inserts and weight-saving measures such as thinner glass when compared to the standard C5. This example is finished in black and features hood vents and a rear spoiler sourced from TrackSpec Motorsports. The seller notes cracks in the rear panels were repaired and repainted, and a replacement windshield has also been fitted. Multi-spoke 18″ Forgestar wheels wear 315/30 Nankang tires. Brake modifications include front cooling ducts and a Wilwood big brake kit featuring slotted front rotors. Additional updates include Penske remote-canister dampers paired with Eibach springs as well as Spec Corvette SCT-1 sway bars and Delrin control arm bushings. The interior retains a factory dash and console assembly, but has otherwise been stripped, exposing the red-painted interior surfaces. The car is equipped with a Phoenix Performance roll cage with with a single Sparco racing seat, Schroth six-point racing harnesses, a fire suppression system, a hard-wired transponder, and toggle switches housed within the center stack. The factory HVAC controls are retained, and an AUTO-BLiP rev-matching controller has been installed. An OMP quick-release steering wheel frames a factory 7k-rpm tachometer and a 200-mph speedometer along with gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. A shift light is mounted atop the instrument shroud, and the digital odometer has 12k miles. The seller states that a 5.7-liter LS6 V8 was installed by Phoenix Performance in place of the factory LS6 V8. Equipment includes a racing-specification radiator and an Accusump oil accumulator as well as remote oil and transmission coolers. Multiple fluid changes have been performed within the past 500 miles according the seller. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery. A pair of logbooks are included in the sale. Per the seller, the car fits specifications for SCCA Touring 1 and NASA Super Touring 3 classes. The Carfax report shows no accidents or damage and lists registration history in Virginia, Florida, and Pennsylvania. An manufacturer safety recall is noted from April 2004.
