1972 Nissan C10 Skyline

This 1972 Nissan Skyline 2000 GT-R is said to have been modified to ressemble the Nissan works race cars of the 1970s by R Factory in Japan before being acquired by the seller and imported to the US in 2022. The car is powered by a replacement 2.0-liter S20 inline-six paired with a five-speed manual transmission, and it is finished in white with a red Nissan Motorsports-style livery. Equipment includes 16″ alloy wheels, a decklid spoiler, extended wheel arch flares, coilover suspension, a Recaro seat, a Deist harness, a roll cage, an ATL fuel cell, triple Weber carburetors, a tubular header, an aluminum radiator, electric cooling fans, and a front-mount oil cooler. This KPGC10 Skyline race car is now offered in Connecticut with import documents, a photo album, and a clean New Jersey title in the seller’s name. The car is said to have been repainted in white and fitted with a red Nissan Motorsports-style livery during previous ownership in Japan. Features include body-color fender flares, a rear decklid spoiler, red-finished headlight covers, and a safety cut-off switch located on the hood cowl. Tire residue is visible on the front end, paint chips are visible on the front fascia and various body panels, and corrosion can be seen on the driver side door and rocker panel. Black 16″ Panasport alloy wheels are mounted with 9.5/23.5 front and 10.0/23.5 rear Avon racing slick tires. Scratches and chips are present on the wheel surfaces. The car features coilover suspension, and braking is provided by six-piston calipers up front and Nissan-branded calipers over cross-drilled rotors in the rear. The right-hand-drive cabin is stripped and features a black Recaro SPG driver’s seat as well as a color-coordinated dash, door panels, and headliner. Equipment includes a Deist racing harness, a fire extinguisher, a roll cage, and a trunk-mounted ATL fuel cell. An Alpha steering wheel fronts a 10k-rpm tachometer and gauges for fuel pressure, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and oil temperature. An odometer is not fitted, and total mileage is unknown. Equipment includes triple Weber carburetors, individual throttle bodies, a stainless steel tubular header, a custom oil pan, an aluminum radiator, dual electric cooling fans, a catch can, and a front-mounted oil cooler. The signatures of Takahashi, who drove the original number six race car, Kurosawa, who raced this car, Masahiro Hasemi, the first Japanese driver to start a Formula 1 Grand Prix, and Shinichiro Sakurai, an engineer for Nissan, are located under the hood, and all are said to have driven the car. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission that was reportedly overhauled by R Factory before the car was imported to the US.
