This 1990 BMW M3 was acquired by the seller in 2005 and subsequently modified in 2015 with installation of a 3.2-liter S54 inline-six and six-speed manual transmission sourced from an E46 M3. It is finished in Diamond Black Metallic over a partially stripped interior featuring an AiM MXL-2 data acquisition system, a MOMO steering wheel, a roll bar, Racetech bucket seats, and six-point TRS harnesses. Additional modifications include a Sport Evolution-style front lip spoiler and rear wing as well as 17″ Team Dynamics Motorsport wheels, AP Racing brake calipers, J-hook two-piece front brake rotors, JRZ adjustable coilovers, a Quaife limited-slip differential, and a custom exhaust system with tubular headers. Work in 2021 involved converting the brakes to manual operation, performing a CSL-spec DME conversion, installing a CSL-style carbon-fiber airbox, refurbishing the VANOS unit, and rebuilding and resurfacing the cylinder head. This E30 M3 is now offered at no reserve with a collection of spare parts, partial service records, and a Maryland title. The car left the factory finished in Diamond Black Metallic and was fitted with a replacement front bumper cover under current ownership, according to the seller. Exterior details include a Sport Evolution-style front lip spoiler and rear wing as well as an electric sunroof, aftermarket side mirrors, and wider fenders compared to the standard E30. Black-finished 17″ Team Dynamics Motorsport wheels are mounted with 225/45 Continental racing slicks at all four corners. The car rides on JRZ adjustable coilovers and features Treehouse Racing solid front control arm mounts, Bimmerworld adjustable sway bar end links, and larger front and rear sway bars. The braking system was converted to manual operation in 2021, and installed parts and components include: AP Racing four-piston front calipers over J-hook two-piece rotors AP Racing two-piston rear calipers over cross-drilled rotors Braided brake hoses Front brake cooling ducts Tilton master cylinder Tilton three-chamber brake fluid reservoir The cabin features fixed-back Racetech bucket seats mounted to VAC Motorsports sliding rails and accompanied by a blue roll bar as well as TRS six-point harnesses. A floor-hinged Tilton clutch and brake pedal set as well as a Wilwood brake-bias adjuster were installed in 2021. A Pioneer head unit is connected to the factory Harman Kardon stereo, and additional interior details include a VAC Motorsports shift knob, diamond-plate footwell panels, and power windows, mirrors, and door locks. The factory onboard computer as well as the air conditioning and cruise control systems are inoperative. A MOMO steering wheel fronts an AiM MXL-2 data acquisition system paired with an AiM HD SmartyCam. An odometer is not equipped, and total mileage is unknown. The replacement 3.2-liter S54 inline-six was installed under current ownership in 2015, according to the seller. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Getrag 420G six-speed manual transmission and a Quaife limited-slip differential with 3.62:1 gearing. The car is equipped with a Walbro 255-lph fuel pump, and the fabricated exhaust system features tubular headers along with a Brad Fab muffler. A set of four 17″ TSW alloy wheels mounted with Toyo Proxes RA1 rubber, a set of Team Dynamics 17″ wheels, and a collection of factory wheels and spare parts will accompany the car, photos of which can be viewed in the gallery. The Carfax report notes “severe damage” and lists registration history in New York, Arkansas, Maryland. The car was reported stolen and subsequently recovered after theft in July 1990, and Salvage Title/Certificate issuances are noted in New York and Arkansas in October 1990 and November 1990, respectively.
