This 1962 Chevrolet Impala SS convertible is powered by a 409ci V8 mated with a Borg-Warner T-10 four-speed manual transmission and a 3.70:1 Positraction rear axle and is finished in red over red vinyl upholstery. Equipment includes a power-operated convertible top, dual rear antennas, rear bumper guards, power steering, 14″ steel wheels, spinner-style hubcaps, Goodyear whitewall tires, dual four-barrel carburetors, and a Delco push-button radio. The Impala SS 409 convertible was acquired by the selling dealer in 2021 and is now offered in Canada with Manitoba registration. The car is finished in red and is said to have been repainted under previous ownership. Features include a power-operated white convertible top, an engine-turned taillight panel and side moldings, rear bumper guards, quad headlamps, Impala SS badging, rocker panel trim, dual rear antennas, and a dual-outlet exhaust that exits behind the rear wheels. There is a scratch in the bumper chrome. Red 14″ steel wheels wear spinner-style covers and are mounted with Goodyear bias-ply whitewall tires. A full-size spare is mounted in the trunk. The car is equipped with power steering. The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench reupholstered in red vinyl with silver piping joined by a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes a heater and defroster, a center console, a floor-mounted shifter, aluminum trim accents, rubber floor mats, polished door sills, and a Delco push-button AM radio. The two-spoke steering wheel frames a horizontal 120-mph speedometer, a column-mounted Sun tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges indicating coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 53k miles, approximately 50 of which were added by the selling dealer. Total mileage is unknown. The 409ci V8 was factory rated at 409 horsepower and features dual four-barrel carburetors, an orange engine block and cylinder heads, and a dual snorkel air cleaner assembly. A Sun Tachometer EB-9A transmitter is mounted to the left inner fender.  An oil change was performed in 2022.
