Model: Ford Pickup 1932-1934 & BB

This Ford pickup was the subject of a custom build during prior ownership before being acquired by the selling dealer approximately two years ago. The cab and radiator shell were sourced from a Ford Model BB tow truck and mounted to a 1932-style fabricated frame along with a shortened bed assembled from aftermarket panels. The body is finished in red over white leather upholstery, and power is provided by a 283ci V8 linked to a four-speed manual transmission and a Winters Quick-Change rear end. Dubbed the “Fenton Flyer,” the truck features a Fenton intake manifold, oil cooler, shift lever, fuel block, valve covers, and exhaust manifolds. Additional equipment includes triple Rochester carburetors along with a pop-out windshield, E-T Sebring 16″ knock-off wheels, a 4″ front drop axle, a Track Master steering gear, finned Buick front drums, an instrument panel sourced from a 1936 Studebaker, and a dual exhaust system with ripple-pipe outlets running along the bedsides. This Ford hot rod pickup was featured in the October/November 2022 issue of Canadian Hot Rods magazine and is now offered in Canada with a New Brunswick registration document describing the truck as a 1932 Ford. The truck’s steel body is finished in dark red with a white firewall and is mounted to a custom frame utilizing American Stamping boxed 1932-style frame rails with custom cross members. The cab was chopped by 3.5″ during the build, and the aftermarket bed was shortened 8″ and fitted with an oak bed floor with stainless steel runners along with a chrome-finished axle cover. Additional features include chrome trim, a custom tubular rear bumper and headlight bar, King Bee headlights, a pop-out windshield, and a Klaxon horn mounted in the firewall. E-T Sebring 16″ wheels are secured with three-eared knock-offs and are wrapped in Excelsior Stahl Sport Radial tires sized 5.00-16 up front and 7.50-16 out back. Braking is provided by four-wheel drums with finned Buick front units. A TrackMaster Products steering gear is mounted under the dash, and the suspension utilizes a 4″ front drop axle, 1937 Ford front spindles, cross-drilled front radius rods, a rear ladder-bar setup, transverse leaf springs, and tube shocks. The cabin features a Jeep-sourced bench upholstered in white leather that is accented by red diamond-stitching and extends to the door panels and headliner. Equipment includes Moon clutch and brake pedals along with a Hurst shifter assembly with a Fenton lever and T-handle. The 1940 Ford-sourced steering wheel and column front a customized dashboard housing a 1936 Studebaker instrument panel that was reportedly refurbished by Classic Instruments. Readouts consist of a 100-mph speedometer flanked by auxiliary gauges displaying coolant temperature, oil pressure, battery voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows less than one mile, true mileage is unknown. The 283ci Chevrolet V8 is said to have been built by Frank Brown of Los Lunas, New Mexico, during prior ownership. It is equipped with a Fenton intake manifold, triple Rochester 2G carburetors with a progressive linkage, an aftermarket camshaft, a Mooneyes oil pan, and a Fenton fuel distribution block, beehive-style oil cooler, and valve covers. Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a Borg Warner Super T-10 four-speed manual transmission along with a Winters Quick-Change rear end with 3.42:1 gearing and chrome-plated axles. The transmission is said to have been rebuilt by Hector Pickering of Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery below. The reproduction serial number tag reads 18135421, which is the sequence listed as the VIN on the New Brunswick registration document. The truck does not have a title, as it is registered in a province that does not issue titles for vehicles. It is being sold on its registration.
