This 1954 Mi-Val Mivalino is a Messerschmitt KR175-based microcar that is powered by a 172cc Mi-Val two-stroke single. It is finished in green over black vinyl upholstery and equipped with a four-speed manual transmission, 8″ steel wheels, independent suspension, dual headlights, a Plexiglas canopy, sliding side windows, a louvered engine cover, tandem bucket seats, and handlebar steering. The car was imported into Canada from Italy and refurbished circa 2018 before being acquired by the seller in March 2023. This Mivalino three-wheeler is now offered with Ontario registration. The Mivalino microcar was assembled by Metalmeccanica Italiana Valtrompia in Brescia, Italy using imported Messerschmitt KR175 components. Like the KR175, it features a steel body over a tubular chassis and is equipped with a tilting Plexiglas dome canopy and sliding side windows. This example was repainted in green under prior ownership. The three 8″ wheels are painted to match the body and mounted with Michelin tires. A matching spare is concealed under the hinged rear cover. The car is equipped with three-wheel independent suspension and cable-actuated drum brakes. The tilting Plexiglas canopy covers tandem seats upholstered in black vinyl with white piping, and the interior sheet metal is painted white. Steering is via chrome handlebars equipped with a left-hand throttle. The clutch and brakes are operated through floor-mounted pedals and the shift lever for the four-speed sequential gearbox is to the right of the driver. Instrumentation includes a 100-km/h speedometer and a gear indicator. The five-digit odometer shows 18k kilometers (~11k miles), a handful of which were added under current ownership. Mi-Val installed their own air-cooled 172cc two-stroke single in the Mivalino. Service during the refurbishment reportedly included rebuilding the engine, overhauling the Dellorto carburetor, and replacing the fuel tank. The fluids were changed in preparation for the sale. It is being sold on its Ontario registration.
