This 2008 Porsche 911 997.1 GT3 RS is one of 410 examples built for the US market during a two-year production run. It is powered by a 3.6-liter flat-six paired with a six-speed manual transaxle and is finished in Carrara White over black leather and Alcantara. Equipment includes the Sport Chrono Package, 19″ black-finished alloy wheels, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes, a limited-slip differential, bi-xenon headlights, an adjustable rear wing, and PCM 2.1 with extended navigation. The current owner acquired the car in 2013 and has since added approximately approximately 10k miles of the 22k miles. Service in 2016 is said to have involved pinning the coolant lines and replacing the clutch assembly, rear main seal, water pump, spark plugs, and ignition coils. This 997.1 GT3 RS is now offered on dealer consignment with British Columbia registration. The track-focused RS model features a carbon-fiber rear wing and wider quarter panels when compared to the standard 997 GT3. This example is finished in Carrara White with black graphics, mirror caps, and rear wing end plates. Further equipment includes bi-xenon headlights, headlight washers, and center-exit exhaust outlets. The selling dealer notes evidence that the front end and rocker panels have been refinished. The black-finished 19″ alloy wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Cup Sport 2 tires measuring 235/35 up front and 305/30 out back. The car was factory equipped with adjustable coilovers along with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). Braking is handled by Porsche-branded calipers over ceramic-composite rotors. The tire pressure monitor system (TPMS) sensors were reportedly replaced in 2023. The sport seats are trimmed in black leather along with Alcantara, which extends to the shifter, parking brake handle, center armrest, and door panels. Amenities include automatic climate control, cruise control, and PCM 2.1 with extended navigation. The steering wheel frames a central GT3-branded tachometer with an 8,400-rpm redline, a 225-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The optional Sport Chrono Package added a stopwatch atop the dashboard. The digital odometer indicates 22k miles miles, approximately 10k of which were added under current ownership. The 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six features VarioCam variable valve timing as well as titanium connecting rods and dry-sump lubrication. It was factory rated at 415 horsepower and 299 lb-ft of torque. Work in 2016 is said to have involved replacing the rear main seal, water pump, spark plugs, and ignition coils as well as pinning the coolant lines. An oil change was performed and a replacement battery was installed in 2023. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. A replacement clutch assembly was reportedly fitted in 2016. The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Virginia, New York, New Jersey, Quebec, Ontario, and British Columbia.
