1984 Ferrari 308

This 1984 Ferrari 308 GTS Quattrovalvole shows registration history in Ontario, and it was purchased by the seller in 2018. The engine was resealed in February 2018, and in June 2023 a timing belt service was performed, the intake manifold and throttle body were replated, and a window accelerator kit was installed. The car is finished in Rosso Corsa over beige leather and is powered by a 2.9-liter quad-cam V8 paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, 16″ five-spoke alloy wheels, an MAcarbon euro-style front bumper, a removable roof panel, pop-up headlights, a quad-exit exhaust system, air conditioning, a gated shifter, and electric windows. This 308 GTS Quattrovalvole is now offered in Canada with the owner’s manual, a car cover, service records, a Canadian Carfax report, a damage-free Carfax report, and Ontario registration. The car is finished in Rosso Corsa and features a black removable roof panel, pop-up headlights, dual side mirrors, Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, a vented deck lid, and quad exhaust outlets. An MAcarbon euro-style front bumper has been fitted. Silver 16″ five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with Goodyear Assurance tires. Two tires were replaced in February 2018. The left rear tires shows signs of curb rash. The car features a fully independent suspension with double wishbones front and rear, and stopping power is provided by ventilated discs at each corner. The cockpit features bolstered seats trimmed in beige leather upholstery along with matching door panels and Coco floor mats. Equipment includes air conditioning, a Panasonic stereo, electric windows, and a gated shifter with a dogleg gear pattern. The window regulators were rebuilt and a window accelerator kit was installed in June 2023. The leather-wrapped MOMO steering wheel fronts Veglia instrumentation including a 280-km/h speedometer, a tachometer with a 7,700-rpm redline, and supplementary gauges. An analog clock and a coolant temperature gauge are mounted ahead of the shifter. The Carfax report lists multiple mileage inconsistency entries, and while the six-digit odometer shows 54k kilometers (~34k miles), approximately 4k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. The mid-mounted 2.9L quad-cam V8 is equipped with four valves per cylinder and Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and was factory rated at 230 horsepower and 188 lb-ft of torque. Service in February 2018 involved resealing the engine, performing a valve adjustment, and replacing the water pump as well as various hoses. A timing belt service was performed in June 2023, and additional work at that time included replating the throttle body and intake manifold as well as replacing the spark plugs, and fuel filter. Fuse blocks have been replaced with replacement units from Birdman’s 308 Parts and a hard-wired battery tender has been installed. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The oil pan and the transmission fluid were replaced in June 2023.
