This 1965 Honda S600 roadster was purchased by the current owner in 2016, reportedly following approximately 27 years of storage, and work has since included rebuilding the 606cc inline-four, overhauling the brakes, repainting the body, re-trimming the interior, rebuilding the carburetors, and replacing the exhaust system. The car is finished in white over black vinyl upholstery, and the car is equipped with a four-speed manual transmission, a black soft top, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, a digital radio, and lap belts. This S600 is now offered with records and Alberta registration in the seller’s name, listing it as a 1966 model year. The car the left the factory finished in white and was repainted under current ownership. Other work performed since 2021 included replacing the windshield, repairing and re-plating the rear bumper, and re-plating the front bumper. The soft top was re-covered in 2022 and protection film has been applied to the windshield. The 13″ wheels wear replacement Honda-branded hubcaps and Toyo Extensa A/S tires. Braking is handled by drums at each corner, and the brake hydraulic cylinders were replaced in 2020. The ball joint boots were replaced in preparation for the sale and the brake shoes were adjusted. The seating surfaces, door panels, and dash were re-trimmed in black vinyl in 2017, and they are complemented by color-coordinated carpets. Aftermarket sound deadening was also added to the cabin, and amenities include lap belts, a digital radio, a locking glove box, an aftermarket shift knob, and a heater. An AM radio accompanies the vehicle. The wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts replacement gauges, including a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 9,500-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges monitoring coolant temperature, amperage, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 54k miles, and total mileage is unknown. The seller notes a noise from the gauge cluster following prolonged driving at highway speeds. The 606cc DOHC inline-four features quadruple side-draft carburetors that were rebuilt under current ownership. The cylinder head was refreshed in 2018, while the engine was reportedly rebuilt in 2021. A replacement dual exhaust system was installed in 2018. The seller notes that the engine stalls when coming to a stop after initially warmed up. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and dual outboard chain-drive assemblies. The seller notes noise from the chain drives when the top is raised. The vehicle does not have a title and is being sold on its Alberta registration, which serves as the ownership document in Alberta, Canada.
