This 1998 Mitsubishi Pajero Evolution is one of approximately 2,700 examples produced, and it was imported from Japan and acquired by the seller in 2020. Power is provided by a 3.5-liter V6 linked with a five-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, a locking center differential, and limited-slip front and rear differentials. Finished in Satellite Silver Metallic, the truck is equipped with an Evolution-specific front bumper and flared fenders in addition to dual hood scoops, quad fog lights, driving lights, a roof spoiler, 16″ six-spoke alloy wheels, Recaro front seats, a Kenwood head unit, and automatic climate control. This Pajero Evolution now shows 48k kilometers (~28k miles) and is offered with manufacturer’s literature and British Columbia registration. The Pajero Evolution was introduced in 1997 after being developed as a homologation model for the 1998 running of the Paris-Dakar Rally. This example is finished in Satellite Silver Metallic (A69) and has an Evolution-specific front bumper with quad fog lights in addition to flared fenders with front cooling ducts. Other features include a fender-mounted mirror, a roof spoiler, dual hood scoops, and driving lights. Noted flaws include blemishes on the left running board, rock ships, and fading on black trim pieces. Six-spoke 16″ alloy wheels are mounted with 275/60 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A tires, and a spare is housed on the rear cargo door. Braking is handled by four-wheel anti-lock discs. Cracking on the tires is depicted in the gallery below. The right-hand-drive cabin houses Recaro front bucket seats and a split-folding rear bench trimmed in black cloth with patterned inserts. Appointments include a Kenwood head unit, cruise control, automatic climate control, and power windows and locks. The four-spoke steering wheel fronts a 180-km/h speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. A compass and readouts for battery voltage and oil pressure are centrally mounted in the dashboard. The six-digit odometer shows 45k kilometers (~28k miles), approximately 50 of which were added under current ownership. The 3.5-liter 6G74 V6 features MIVEC variable valve timing and was factory rated at 276 horsepower and 256 lb-ft of torque. Power is routed to the rear or all four wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, a locking center differential, and limited-slip front and rear differentials. The vehicle does not have a title and is being sold on its British Columbia registration, which serves as the ownership document in British Columbia, Canada.
