This 1936 Ford pickup is finished in black over brown and tan and is powered by a 276ci flathead V8 paired with a five-speed manual transmission. The truck was purchased by the seller in April 2020, and a refurbishment completed under prior ownership included installing a 1951 Mercury flathead V8 with Offenhauser heads, repainting the body, reupholstering the interior, refreshing the suspension, and replacing the glass. Equipment includes 14″ and 15″ American Racing wheels, a Currie 9″ rear end with a 3.70:1 ratio, power brakes, chrome bumpers, Stewart Warner gauges, and a banjo-style steering wheel. This Ford pickup is offered with historical records, a car cover, an assortment of spare parts, refurbishment receipts, and a clean Minnesota title in the seller’s name. The all-steel body was reportedly repaired and repainted black as part of a refurbishment completed in 2019. Chrome trim adorns the bumpers, grille, light surrounds, and door hardware, and additional features include dual exhaust outlets and a hood ornament. The glass was reportedly replaced at the time of refurbishment. American Racing 14″ and 15″ wheels wear BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. Stopping is handled by power brakes with discs up front, and work completed as part of the refurbishment reportedly includes installing a Super Bell I-beam front axle along with a Vega steering box, Posie leaf springs, and Pete and Jakes suspension components. The cabin features bench seating upholstered in brown and tan leather with matching door panels, a body-colored dashboard, and tan square-weave carpets. Equipment includes a glove box, manually-operated windows, three-point seat belts, and a floor-mounted shifter and parking brake. The bench seat folds up to reveal a storage area, and sound insulation was reportedly installed as part of the refurbishment. The seller notes the windshield wiper motor is not installed. The banjo-style steering wheel is mounted on an Ididit tilting column and fronts Stewart Wagner instruments including a 160-mph speedometer, 8k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, battery voltage, and oil pressure. The seller notes the horn does not work. The five-digit odometer indicates 4k miles, approximately 500 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. The 276ci flathead V8 was reportedly sourced from a 1951 Mercury and features Offenhauser cylinder heads, an aluminum 2-duece intake manifold, adjustable lifters, and a Mallory electronic distributor. Additional features include ceramic coated headers, a Griffin aluminum radiator, electric cooling fans, and a 12-volt electrical system. The seller notes the engine was rebuilt by Motor City Flathead under prior ownership. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Borg Warner five-speed manual transmission and Currie 9″ rear end with a 3.70:1 ratio. The frame has been reinforced in sections, and additional underside images are provided in the gallery.
