This 1938 International Harvester D-2 was refurbished under previous ownership and fitted with a replacement 235ci inline-six and five-speed manual transmission before it was purchased by the seller in 2013. The truck is finished in red with black fenders over matching vinyl upholstery, and additional equipment includes an alternator, a dual-exit exhaust, chrome bumpers, diamond-plate cargo bed flooring, reverse lights, turn signals, a steel sun visor, spotlights, driving lamps, a steering column-mounted fan, a heater, and aftermarket gauges. This D-2 pickup is now offered with a Pennsylvania title in the seller’s name. The D Series ½-ton pickup was introduced in 1937 as a replacement for International’s Willys-based C Series pickup. This example was repainted in red with black fenders and custom pinstriping under previous ownership and features chrome bumpers, driving lamps, turn signals, cowl-mounted spotlights, a tilt-forward windshield, a steel sun visor, running boards, dual taillights, and reverse lights. The cargo bed features diamond-plate flooring and chrome bedside anchors. The 15″ chrome wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich whitewall radial tires. A body-color artillery-style wheel with a chrome International hubcap and whitewall bias-ply tire is mounted on the right side of the cargo bed. The truck features live axles with front and rear leaf springs. Stopping power is provided by hydraulic drums at all four corners. The cabin features a bench that was reupholstered under previous ownership in black and red vinyl. Matching door panels are fitted, and additional equipment includes black carpets, a heater, and a steering column-mounted fan. The black three-spoke steering wheel frames a VDO 120-mph speedometer and iEquus auxiliary gauges. A tachometer is affixed to the steering column. The digital odometer shows 2,400 miles, approximately 750 of which were added under the seller’s ownership. Total mileage is unknown. The 235ci inline-six was installed under previous ownership and is said to have been sourced from a 1956 Chevrolet. It is fitted with an alternator, a chrome valve cover, and an aftermarket air cleaner. An oil pressure gauge is mounted under the hood. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a GM-sourced five-speed manual transmission. Corrosion on the exhaust system and leaf springs can be seen in the gallery.   The chassis tag is presented above. The VIN listed on the title is 30455. The Pennsylvania title carries an Antique Vehicle brand.
