This 1993 AM General M35A3 “deuce-and-a-half” is a 2.5-ton military cargo truck that is said to have been used as a U.S. Forest Service fire vehicle before being acquired by the selling dealer in 2016. The truck is finished in green, brown, and black camouflage over green cloth upholstery and is powered by a 402ci Caterpillar turbodiesel inline-six linked to an Allison four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Additional equipment includes 20″ wheels, dual rear axles, a winch, LED headlights, a side-mounted jerry can, and storage lockers. Work in preparation for the sale is said to have included powder-coating the wheels, replacing the tires, and performing a fluid service. This M35A3 is now offered at no reserve with a clean Colorado title. The truck is finished in green, brown, and black camouflage. Details include a front winch, LED headlights, a side-mounted jerry can, a green exhaust stack, and storage lockers. The bed features inward-facing bench seats. Rust is visible on the side steps, and a broken bolt on the right door is noted. An aluminum bed ramp is included in the sale. Black 20″ powder-coated wheels are mounted with 395/85 Michelin X tires. The truck is equipped with dual rear axles, and the central tire inflation system has been disabled. The selling dealer states the wheels were powder-coated and the tires were installed in June 2021. The driver’s seat and two-place bench are said to have been reupholstered in green cloth in 2022. Additional service at that time reportedly included replacing the seat foam, applying sound/heat-deadening material to the floors, and coating the floors in epoxy. The right window regulator was reportedly replaced in 2021. The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a 60-mph speedometer, an inoperative tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, fuel level, voltage, and air pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 11k miles, approximately 3k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. The 402ci Caterpillar 3116 Turbodiesel inline-six sends power to all six wheels through an Allison four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Maintenance since 2019 is said to have included replacing the batteries and fuel lines, rebuilding the heater core box, retrofitting an alternator, and changing the oil, transmission fluid, and differential fluid. An oil leak is noted. Rust is visible on underbody components. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery. The truck is titled in Colorado by the National Stock Number (NSN) 2320013833850. The selling dealer reports that the truck is not road-legal in Colorado or California.
