1929 Ford Model A Pickup EV Conversion & AA

This 1929 Ford Model A closed cab pickup was acquired by the selling dealer out of Arizona in 2018 and subsequently refurbished and modified. It has been fitted with a NetGain WarP 11 electric motor paired with a direct-drive single-speed transmission and a 17.6 kWh lithium-ion battery from a Smart EV. Other equipment includes an EVnetics Soliton 1 motor controller, a wood-slat bed floor, LED lighting, a digital gauge display, and a heater. The truck is finished in two-tone Pearl White and black over black. This electric Model A pickup is now offered in Canada by the selling dealer with clean Ontario registration listing it as a 1931 model. A refurbishment performed in 2019 included refinishing the body in two-tone Pearl White with black fenders and running boards. Exterior features include a chrome front bumper, LED head and taillights, a tonneau cover, and a replacement wood-slat bed floor. The 17.6 kWh lithium-ion battery, which was reportedly sourced from a 2018 Smart ForTwo Electric Drive, is mounted in the bed, along with the charging port. Black-painted wire wheels feature polished hubcaps and wear Firestone Destination tires. The truck is equipped with rear coilovers and Wilwood disc brakes at all four corners. The selling dealer states that the vinyl door decals will be removed prior to delivery to the next owner. The cabin features a bench seat upholstered in black leather, along with a black suede headliner and door panels. Equipment includes a heater, USB power ports, and a wood-rimmed steering wheel. The body-color steel dashboard is fitted with a multi-function digital display. There is no odometer present, and true mileage is unknown. The NetGain Motors WarP 11 DC motor weighs approximately 230 pounds and was factory rated at 43.7 horsepower and 135 lb-ft of torque. The truck is equipped with an EVnetics Soliton 1 motor controller. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a direct-drive single-speed transmission.
