2008 Tesla Roadster Signature 100

This 2008 Tesla Roadster is number 56 of the first 100 manufactured, which were sold as the Signature One Hundred Edition, and it was purchased new by the current owner. The car is powered by a 1.5-series battery pack and a three-phase AC induction motor paired with a single-speed transmission. It is finished in silver over black and gray leather upholstery, and additional equipment includes 16″ and 17″ forged aluminum wheels, a carbon-fiber hardtop, a removable roof panel, heated sport seats, carbon-fiber interior trim, a CD stereo, cruise control, and air conditioning. This Roadster has 75k miles and is now offered on dealer consignment as part of Mohr Imports’ Monterey Car Week Collection with a window sticker, an owner’s manual, service records, accessories, tools, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title. The Tesla Roadster was based on the aluminum tub from the contemporary Lotus Elise, with which it shared its windshield and windshield frame. The remainder of the carbon-fiber body panels were unique to the Tesla, and it utilized a 2″ longer wheelbase than the Elise. This example is finished in silver and features a body-color carbon-fiber hardtop, a removable roof panel, an exterior charging port, an integrated rear spoiler, and LED taillights. The air conditioning system was recharged in preparation for the sale. The removed factory radio will accompany the car. The three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a 150-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 13k-rpm redline. A configurable multifunction LCD screen is mounted to the left of the steering column. The digital odometer indicates 75k miles. A plaque between the headrests identifies this example as #56 of the first 100 Tesla Roadster models produced. The 53-kilowatt-hour battery pack powers the three-phase, four-pole AC-induction motor, which was factory rated at 185 kilowatts (248 horsepower) and 200 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Borg-Warner single-speed transmission. The battery pack was replaced in 2014 at approximately 47k miles.
