1935 Ford Woodie Wagon 48 & 68 V8 (1935-1936)

This 1935 Ford Model 48 is a wood-paneled station wagon powered by a 221ci flathead V8 paired with a three-speed manual transmission. Additional features include rear coach doors, sliding rear side windows, and leather upholstery. A refurbishment was reportedly completed in the early 2000s, and subsequent recognition included a Senior National First Prize award from the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) in 2002. This woodie wagon is now offered on dealer consignment on behalf of the late owner’s estate with a clean Pennsylvania title. Trimmed in wood paneling with a roof covered in textured vinyl, the body was refinished under prior ownership in its current Cordoba Gray according to the seller, who notes the body was removed from the frame during the refurbishment. Features include sliding side windows, a color-matched spare-tire cover, and a removable curtain for the rear tailgate. Red-painted wire wheels wear chrome hubcaps and period-style Firestone whitewall tires with pie-crust sidewalls. A plaque for the aforementioned AACA award is mounted to the front license plate. Interior trim includes wood door panels, a painted dash housing factory instrumentation, and ceiling slats composed of wood trim. A three-spoke steering wheel frames an instrument cluster providing readouts for speed, oil pressure, fuel level, coolant temperature, and voltage. The five-digit odometer shows 58k miles, with actual mileage unknown. The 221ci flathead V8 features a single downdraft carburetor and is paired with a three-speed manual transmission. A general service is said to have been completed in preparation for the sale according to the seller, who notes clutch chatter during first-gear engagement.
