2006 Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG R230 SL

This 2006 Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG was sold new in Illinois and exported to Canada in 2008. Power comes from a twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V12 paired with a five-speed automatic transmission, and the car is finished in black over a Charcoal Exclusive Nappa leather interior. Equipment includes adaptive cruise control, a panoramic roof, parking sensors, Bose speakers, and navigation. This R230 SL65 AMG is offered at no reserve with Ontario registration as well as free importation to the Reliable Carriers warehouse in Canton, Michigan, and titling in Washington State. The SL65 AMG was distinguished by a lowered ride height, deeper front and rear valances, side sill extensions, a quad-exit exhaust system, and badging when compared to the standard R230 SL. This example is finished in Black (040) and equipped with an optional panoramic glass roof in its retractable hardtop, which is photographed both open and closed. Chips and scrapes on the underside of the front bumper cover are shown in the gallery below. Silver two-piece AMG 19” wheels wear staggered-width Bridgestone Potenza tires. The clearcoat is lifting from the edges of the wheels. Braking is from six-piston calipers over 15.4” two-piece rotors up front and four-piston units over 14.8” discs in the rear. The cockpit is trimmed in Charcoal Exclusive Nappa leather extending from the seats to the dash, center console, and doors. Burl walnut veneers adorn the door panels and shifter surround. Factory equipment includes power-adjustable seats with memory/heating/cooling, dual-zone automatic climate control, front and rear parking sensors, Distronic adaptive cruise control, COMAND navigation, a Bose CD sound system, and more. The digital odometer shows just over 36k miles. The twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V12 developed 604 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission with shift buttons on the steering wheel spokes. An oil change has been performed in preparation for the sale.
