1969 Chevrolet Corvette Riverside Gold Coupe

Big-block Corvettes are just cool, and this ’69 coupe started life as one, but its original 390-hp 427 (hydraulic cam, single four-barrel carburetor) has since been replaced with the even hotter L71 427—the solid-lifter version of the big-block topped with three Holley two-barrel carbs and rated for 435 hp. The engine here is even topped with the correct triangular air cleaner; it’s also exhaling through a set of the one-year-only side exhausts. The seller says there are a number of restomod upgrades incorporated here as well, including a Tremec five-speed and modern 17-inch versions of the rally wheels. The stock-style 15s are also shown, and the seller says a set of rare aluminum L89 cylinder heads are available separately. This should be a blast to drive, and it’s extra sharp in factory Riverside Gold. – TM

Originally equipped with the L36-code Chevrolet Corvette Stingray has a replacement engine reportedly built to 427/435 specifications, including the 3×2 induction system and correct solid-lifter camshaft. The car has also reportedly undergone a body-off restoration over the past 25 years and has seen only 2,079 miles since it was completed. A number of subtle restomod upgrades have been made and the seller says the original parts are included. “The car is very clean and in very good condition,” says the seller. 

• Per the seller, this 427-cu.in. OHV V8 is built with a Chevrolet replacement block #CE958719.
• Like the factory L71 V8, this example has iron cylinder heads and the L71 mechanical camshaft.
• It also has the 3×2 induction system that features a trio of Holley two-barrel carburetors.
• Photos show correct engine detailing included Packard-logo plug wires, fasteners, and more.
• A Tremec TKO 600 five-speed manual backs the engine, offering overdrive with highway cruising.
