1966 Ford Mustang Candy Apple Red GT fastback

Restored and in stock condition, this 1966 Ford Mustang 2+2 Fastback is a true K-code car with its reportedly rebuilt original 271-horsepower 289 Hi-Po V8 engine. The seller reports 100 miles since the engine rebuild. It also wears GT trim and features a number of options including the deluxe “pony” interior, Rally-Pac gauges, and a wood-look steering wheel. The restoration appears older and shows mild wear in several areas, mostly in the bright trim and some of the interior components, but the overall presentation is said by the seller to be very good. The seller is helping the car’s owner list it online. 

• Per the “K” in the VIN, this Mustang is an original Hi-Po 289-cu.in. OHV V8 car.
• New, this engine was rated at 271 horsepower.
• The engine is said to be original and photos show a rebuild.
• The seller reports the engine was rebuilt to its original specs, with four-barrel carburetor.
• A four-speed manual transmission was mandatory with the 289 Hi-Po and this car has it.
• It also has a 9-inch rear axle with a 3.50-geared open differential.
• On the exterior, the car was repainted the original T-code Candy Apple Red.
• The finish appears very good, with moderate orange peel and a few light scratches.
• The GT trim appears intact and in good condition, including the through-valence exhaust outlets.
