This 1928 Buick Standard Six Model 24 Sport Roadster was first sold in Los Angeles, California, and was reportedly placed in storage in 1941, where it remained for 20 years. The second owner, a Buick Club of America member, is said to have acquired the car in 1961 and spent the next 19 years refurbishing it, keeping the car until his passing in 2005. It was awarded an AACA Senior National First Prize in 1981, and the seller purchased the car in 2019. The car is finished in green with black fenders over green upholstery, and power comes from a 207ci inline-six paired with a three-speed manual transmission. Features include a tan soft top, a rumble seat, a rear-mounted spare tire, a golf bag door, and cowl lamps. This Buick is now offered with a Marvel T3 carburetor, photographs of the car with previous owners, and a clean Oregon title in the seller’s name. The body is said to have been repainted in its factory green with black fenders and black-and-yellow pinstripes under previous ownership. Features include chrome three-bar bumpers, a central stop light, rumble seat steps, a golf bag door, door-mounted armrests, cowl lamps, and a chrome radiator surround and headlight buckets. The wood-spoke wheels are mounted with Firestone bias-ply tires. A spare rim and tire are mounted under a cover out back. Braking is handled by mechanical drums at all four corners. The tan soft top features a wood frame and can be seen in the gallery. The cockpit features a bench seat trimmed in green tufted upholstery with matching door panels and tan carpets. A rumble seat with matching upholstery is fitted out back. The four-spoke steering wheel features red accents and frames a painted steel dash with wood grain inserts and AC instrumentation including an 80-mph barrel speedometer and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows under 60k miles, 250 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. The 207ci inline-six features four main bearings and a replacement carburetor. It was factory rated at 63 horsepower and 140 lb-ft of torque. A Marvel T3 carburetor is included in the sale. Power is sent to the rear wheels via an H-pattern three-speed manual transmission. Fresh crankcase oil and transmission fluid were added within the past 50 miles according to the seller. Photos of the car with its previous owners can be seen in the gallery.
