This 1930 Ford Model A is said to have been overhauled by Swillco Speed Shop of East Bethel, Minnesota, and was acquired by the selling dealer in February 2021. Refinished in light brown over black, the car is powered by a rebuilt 201ci inline-four paired with a three-speed manual transmission. The engine has been fitted with a Weiand cylinder head, Zephyr intake manifold, dual Stromberg 97 carburetors, and a finned Cragar side cover. Additional features consist of a wood-framed cabin and roof, rear-hinged rear doors, 17″ and 18″ wire wheels, a modified and lowered suspension, three rows of seating, and a pinstriped dashboard and underbody panel. This modified Model A is offered with an Arizona title. The forward body is said to have been refinished in light brown by Swillco Speed Shop in 2018. Features include a wood-framed cabin and roof, a black roof cover, rear-hinged rear doors, and black fenders and sideboards. Black 17″ front and 18″ rear wire wheels are mounted with Excelsior tires, and the brakes are actuated hydraulically. The car was lowered by Swillco Speed Shop and utilizes custom shock mounts, reinforced suspension linkage, a dropped Model A axle, and reverse-eye leaf springs in the rear. A spare is mounted on the driver-side of the car. The interior features exposed wood on the doors, pillars, and roof. The front bench, middle bucket seats, and rear bench have been upholstered in black, and a rubber liner covers the floors. The four-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a steel dashboard with gray accents and gold pinstripes. Instrumentation includes a speedometer, a fuel level gauge, an ammeter, and Rex-A-Co gauges to monitor water temperature and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows just under 1k miles. Total mileage is unknown. The 201ci inline-four is said to have been overbored 0.080″ and has been fitted with a Weiand cylinder head, Zephyr intake manifold, dual Stromberg 97 carburetors, and a finned Cragar side cover. Ignition is handled with Mallory components, and a cast-iron exhaust manifold feeds a custom fabricated 2″ exhaust system. The oil was changed 150 miles ago. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a three-speed manual transmission, and the selling dealer states that a polished-magnesium Halibrand quick-change rear third member has been utilized. An underbody panel at the rear been pinstriped, and additional photos of the underside are presented in the gallery below.
