This 1934 Plymouth PE Deluxe business coupe spent time in Arizona and underwent a refurbishment prior to 2011. It was purchased by the selling dealer in 2024 and is finished in burgundy over tan cloth upholstery. Power comes from a 201ci inline-six paired with a three-speed manual transmission, and equipment includes independent front suspension, 16″ artillery-style wheels, a rear-mounted spare, a hood ornament, running boards, rear-hinged doors, and a heater. This PE Deluxe is now offered in Gresham, Oregon, with a car cover and a clean Minnesota title. The Plymouth marque was introduced for the 1928 model year and built its millionth car, a PE Deluxe sedan, on August 8, 1934. Debuting for 1934, the PE Deluxe was offered in eight factory body styles, with a total of 28,433 business coupes produced for the year. This example was repainted burgundy with gold pinstripes under previous ownership. Features include chrome bumpers and trim, a hood ornament, a driver-side mirror, a cowl vent, a tilt-forward windshield, rear-hinged doors, running boards, and a single taillight. Red-painted artillery-style wheels feature gold pinstripes as well as chrome hubcaps and trim rings, and they are mounted with 6.00–16 Firestone wide-whitewall bias-ply tires. A spare wheel is mounted in a body-color cover out back. A coil-spring independent front suspension was introduced on Plymouth models for the 1934 model year, and stopping power is provided by hydraulic drums at all four corners. A replacement brake master cylinder was installed in 2023. The cabin features a bench seat that was reupholstered in tan cloth in the 2010s along with a matching headliner. Color-coordinated door panels are fitted, while a black rubber mat lines the floors. Additional equipment includes woodgrain dash and window trim, an oval glovebox door with a chrome Plymouth badge, and an Arvin heater. The three-spoke steering wheel frames a Plymouth Floating Power-branded instrument panel housing a 100-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 99k miles, approximately 25 of which were added by the selling dealer. Total mileage is unknown. The 201ci inline-six features a Ball & Ball carburetor. A replacement battery was installed in 2023, and an oil change was performed in 2024. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a three-speed manual transmission.
