This 1935 Cadillac Model 355-D convertible sedan is one of 122 Cadillacs that were built for the model year by General Motors of Canada. It was refurbished under previous ownership before being purchased by the seller’s late father approximately 20 years ago. The car is finished in burgundy over gray leather upholstery, and power comes from a 353ci L-head V8 paired with a three-speed manual transmission. Features include a gray convertible top, a fold-down luggage rack, a body-color external trunk, running boards, rear-hinged front doors, dual side-mount spares, a spotlight, and driving lamps. This Series 10 355-D is now offered by the seller on behalf of his mother with factory books and a clean Wisconsin title. The car was repainted burgundy under previous ownership and features chrome bumpers, a fold-down luggage rack with a body-color trunk, dual taillights, running boards, rear-hinged front doors, a spotlight, a goddess hood ornament, driving lamps, and a gray convertible top with red piping. The 17″ body-color wire wheels are mounted with chrome hubcaps and Denman bias-ply whitewall tires. Matching spare wheels are mounted in the front fenders in body-color covers. Stopping power is provided by vacuum-assisted mechanical drums at all four corners. The cabin features front and rear bench seats trimmed in gray leather with burgundy piping along with matching door panels and burgundy carpets. Equipment includes a locking glovebox and a rear robe cord, footrest, and cigar lighter. The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a painted steel dash with wood trim housing a 100-mph speedometer, auxiliary gauges, and a Jaeger clock. The five-digit odometer shows 1,900 miles. Total mileage is unknown. The 353ci L-head V8 was factory rated at 130 horsepower at 3,400-rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a three-speed manual transmission. The build tag shows that the car was built by General Motors of Canada, Ltd. and that the Series 10 Style 35721 five-passenger convertible sedan body was delivered from the factory with special-order paint.
