This custom 1935 Chrysler Airflow C1 2-door coupe (one of 71 built in 35) was a 4.5-year labor of love, passion, old-fashioned quality and ingenuity built by the owner in his shop. Very few of these two-door coupes exist and were typically referred to as a Traveler's sman car. The all-original-steel straight body is powered by a 6.1-liter HEMI engine with an lbrock supercharger and 545 RFE automatic transmission with a 9-inch rear end. The car rides on a modified Heidt tang II front end with an Art rear clip and wood brakes, and is finished off with yd Coddington wheels. The body, paint and interior were completed by ndo's Custom Upholstery in , CA. The two-toned Ghost paint is a custom PPG mix. The interior features two-tone light cream and light tan leather with handmade chrome trim on the headliner and doors, Chrysler insignia on the rear seat, along with fabricated 1935-era matching luggage disguising the gas tank under the rear trunk lid. The interior also features power windows, a ntage Air system, the original steering wheel and a custom center console.
