Model: Chevrolet Carryall Suburban (1935-1940)
Year: 1936

This 1936 Chevrolet Suburban Carryall is finished in Cabana Cream and Airedale Brown and powered by a 207ci straight-six paired with a three-speed manual transmission. Features include seating for eight, along with an analog clock, a thermometer, a compass, yellow-tinted driving lights, and 17″ artillery wheels with spares mounted on either fender. The truck was refurbished in 2011 following approximately 45 years in storage and was acquired by the seller in 2014. This Suburban is now offered with refurbishment photos and a clean Colorado title in the seller’s name. The first-generation Suburban was introduced in 1935 and rides on a 112″ wheelbase. This example was refinished during previous ownership in Cabana Cream and Airedale Brown with black fenders and running boards. Exterior features include a lift-up rear window and drop-down lower tailgate, a chrome grille and bumpers, a hood ornament, and yellow-tinted driving lights. Black-painted 17″ artillery wheels feature chrome Chevrolet-branded hubcaps and are mounted with 5.25/5.50 Firestone Deluxe Champion whitewall tires. Matching spares are affixed to either fender. The interior wood framing was replaced during the refurbishment, and the cabin is equipped with a black-painted dash as well as three rows of bench seats that are trimmed in brown vinyl. Additional features include an analog clock on the rearview mirror and a thermometer and compass mounted above the windshield. A three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a 100-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows just over 100 miles, though total mileage is unknown. The 207ci “Stovebolt” inline-six was factory rated for 79 horsepower and was reportedly rebuilt during the refurbishment. Power is directed to the rear wheels through a three-speed manual transmission, which is also said to have been rebuilt during the refurbishment. Additional photos of the underbody are included in the gallery. Photos and notes from the refurbishment process are included in the sale.
