This 1939 Lincoln-Zephyr is one of 302 convertible sedan examples produced for the model year, and it was refurbished under previous ownership. The car is finished in beige over brown upholstery, and power comes from a 267.3ci V12 paired with a three-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a tan soft top, detachable B-pillars, a driver-side spotlight, rear-hinged rear doors, fender skirts, an AM radio, dual gloveboxes, and rear footrests. Service performed in preparation for the sale reportedly included the installation of a replacement fuel pump, a rebuild of the carburetor, a cleaning of the fuel system, and a brake adjustment. This Lincoln-Zephyr is now offered on dealer consignment at no reserve with a copy of the build card, refurbishment photos and records, and a clean California title. The Lincoln-Zephyr was restyled for 1939 with a larger grille opening, enclosed running boards, and reshaped bumpers, and it was offered in six body styles. This example was delivered from the factory in Zephyr Blue and underwent a color change to beige under previous ownership. Features include a hood ornament, hinge-mounted mirrors, a driver-side spotlight, rear-hinged rear doors, fender skirts, dual taillights, and a tan soft top with a color-matched boot. The detachable B-pillars are stowed in storage bags that can be seen in the gallery. Red-painted steel wheels feature white pinstriping as well as chrome hubcaps and trim rings, and they are mounted with 7.00–16 Lester bias-ply whitewall tires. A matching spare wheel and tire are stowed on a swing-out mount in the trunk. The Lincoln-Zephyr rode on a 125″ wheelbase for 1939 and featured front and rear transverse leaf springs. Four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes were introduced on the model line for 1939, and the brakes were adjusted in preparation for the sale. The cabin features front and rear benches trimmed in tan pleated leather along with color-matched door panels and carpets. Equipment includes an AM radio and dual gloveboxes, while the rear cabin is outfitted with a cigar lighter, a robe cord, and footrests. The ivory-color banjo-style steering wheel frames a painted steel dashboard housing a 100-mph speedometer and inset gauges for fuel level, battery charge, oil pressure, and engine temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 74k miles, a few of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. The 267.3ci V12 was factory rated at 110 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque. A replacement fuel pump was installed and the carburetor was rebuilt in preparation for the sale. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a three-speed manual transmission. The fuel tank was reportedly drained and cleaned in preparation for the sale. The selling dealer notes perforations in the exhaust system. A copy of the build card from the Henry Ford Museum is presented above.
