This 1940 Ford Deluxe coupe is said to have remained in the same family from 1978 until it was purchased by the selling dealer in 2024. The car is finished in tan over matching cloth upholstery, and power comes from a 221ci flathead V8 paired with a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes an electric fuel pump, lever-arm shocks, chrome bumpers and overriders, a grille guard, turn signals, running boards, and a heater. This Model 01A Deluxe is now offered with a clean Oregon title. The body was repainted tan under previous ownership, and equipment includes chrome bumpers with overriders, a Ford-branded grille guard, turn signals, red-accented Ford Deluxe hood emblems, an antenna, and dual side-view mirrors. A World War II-era gasoline rationing sticker is affixed to the windshield. Paint imperfections can be viewed in the gallery. Body-color steel wheels wear chrome Ford Deluxe hubcaps and trim rings, and they are mounted with 6.00–16″ Firestone bias-ply whitewall tires. A matching spare wheel is stowed in the trunk. The 01A Deluxe rode on a 112″ wheelbase and features front and rear transverse leaf springs. Front and rear lever-arm shocks were installed under previous ownership. Stopping power is provided by hydraulic drums at all four corners. The cabin features a bench seat trimmed in tan cloth along with a matching headliner and door panels. A tan rubber mat lines the floors, and additional equipment includes a heater, a locking glovebox, and woodgrain window trim. The AM radio and clock do not work. The two-tone steering wheel is cracked and frames a 100-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and battery charge. The five-digit odometer shows 11k miles. Total mileage is unknown. The 221ci flathead V8 features a Model 21-29 two-barrel carburetor and green-painted 24-stud cylinder heads. Output was factory rated at 85 horsepower. A replacement starter was recently installed. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission. An electric fuel pump was installed under previous ownership. The Oregon Assigned Identification Number tag is presented above, and the VIN listed on the title is OR185769335. Chassis stamping 18-5769335 can be seen in the gallery.
