This 1941 Cadillac Series 60 Special is a Fleetwood-bodied sedan that was reportedly purchased by the current owner in 1970, and it underwent a multi-year refurbishment by Aries Restoration of Hollister, California, that was completed in 2018. The car is finished in black over gray cloth, and power comes from a 346ci V8 paired with a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission. Features include steel wheels with hubcaps, fender skirts, bench seating, woodgrain interior trim, an AM radio, a clock, and a heater. A replacement water pump and belt were installed in 2024. This Series 60 Special is now offered on dealer consignment with tools, refurbishment records, literature, and a clean California title in the owner’s name. The Series 60 received styling updates for 1941 that included a new, wider front grille and rectangular parking lamps. This example is one of 4,101 built in the series for the model year and is finished in black with chrome bumpers and trim. Equipment includes a flying goddess hood ornament, a retractable antenna, fender skirts, and a fuel filler located beneath the left taillight surround. Body-color steel wheels wear chrome hubcaps with color Cadillac crests as well as 7.00–15 Firestone Deluxe Champion bias-ply whitewall tires. The car features an independent front suspension with coil springs as well as a semi-floating rear axle with semi-elliptical leaf springs. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes. A brake fluid flush was performed in March 2023. The cabin features front and rear benches trimmed in gray striped cloth with tufted inserts. Color-matched upholstery extends to the headliner, door panels, and carpets, and equipment includes an AM radio, a clock, a locking glovebox, a heater, wood door caps, a robe cord, and a rear fold-down armrest. The ivory-color steering wheel frames a painted woodgrain dashboard housing a 100-mph speedometer and gauges for engine temperature, battery charge, fuel level, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 600 miles, and total mileage is unknown. The trip odometer and fuel-level gauge do not work. The 346ci Monobloc V8 is topped with a single carburetor and was factory rated at 150 horsepower. Replacement spark plugs were installed in March 2023, and an oil change was performed at that time. A water pump and accessory belt were installed in July 2024. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission. Repairs to the fuel tank were performed in March 2023. Refurbishment records are included in the sale and can be seen in the gallery along with tools and literature.
