This 1941 Ford Deluxe woodie station wagon resided at the Tupelo Automobile Museum in Tupelo, Mississippi, until the museum closed in 2019. It was acquired by the selling dealer in 2020 and is finished in burgundy with maple wood doors and rear body panels along with a black vinyl roof. Power is provided by a 221ci flathead V8 paired with a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes a tailgate-mounted covered spare tire, three bench seats, an AM radio, an under-dash heater, and Bakelite dash trim. This Deluxe woodie wagon is now offered by the selling dealer with a clean California title. This example retains its maple wood framing and is believed by the selling dealer to have been refinished in burgundy while it resided at the Tupelo Automobile Museum. The roof is covered in black patterned vinyl, and equipment includes a tailgate-mounted spare tire, chrome bumpers, and black rubber running board covers. The seller notes that the windshield wipers and bumper overriders are missing. 16″ steel wheels are finished in matching burgundy and wear chrome hubcaps and beauty rings along with 6.00-16″ whitewall tires. The selling dealer reports that service in 2020 included a replacement brake master cylinder as well as replacement brake drums, shoes, and wheel cylinders. The interior features three rows of bench seating upholstered in tan vinyl, along with brown carpets and wood door panels. Equipment includes a black rubber front floor mat, an AM radio, an under-dash heater, and ivory-colored Bakelite dash trim. The brown two-spoke steering wheel frames factory instrumentation consisting of a 100-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, amperage, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 83k miles, only a handful of which were added by the selling dealer. True mileage is unknown. The 221ci flathead V8 features 24-stud cylinder heads and was factory rated at 90 horsepower. Service in 2020 reportedly included a replacement Walker radiator, two replacement water pumps, a new voltage regulator, a rebuilt generator, a replacement accessory drive belt, and a new six-volt battery. The carburetor was rebuilt and installed with a new fuel filter and fuel line. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission. A replacement fuel tank was installed by the selling dealer, and additional service in 2020 included transmission and differential fluid services. The selling dealer notes corrosion around the battery tray and on the exhaust system.
