1947 Chrysler Town & Country

This 1947 Chrysler Town & Country convertible was refurbished under previous ownership and is said to have spent the past seven years in a collection in Pennsylvania before it was purchased by the selling dealer in May 2024. The car is finished in burgundy with ash wood-framed mahogany panels over tan leather upholstery, and power comes from a 323ci inline-eight paired with a Fluid Drive semi-automatic transmission. Features include a power-operated tan soft top, driving lamps, spotlights, hubcaps, whitewall tires, an AM radio, a clock, and a heater. A replacement battery was installed in May 2024, and the oil was changed. This C39 Town & Country is now offered in Maryland with a clean Pennsylvania title. The car was repainted burgundy under previous ownership, and the ash and mahogany wood bodywork was also refinished. Equipment includes chrome bumpers and trim, yellow driving lamps, dual cowl spotlights, dual sideview mirrors, and a power-operated tan soft top. Body-color steel wheels wear chrome hubcaps and trim rings, and they are mounted with 8.20–15 Firestone whitewall bias-ply tires. The C39 Town & Country rode on a 127.5″ wheelbase and featured an independent front suspension with coil springs as well as a live rear axle with semi-elliptical leaf springs. Stopping power is provided by hydraulic drums at all four corners. The cabin features front and rear bench seats trimmed in tan leather along with color-coordinated door panels. Burgundy carpets line the floors, and additional equipment includes an AM radio, a Comfort Master heater, and a locking glovebox. The burgundy three-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and frames a 110-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 24k miles, approximately 100 of which were added by the selling dealer. Total mileage is unknown. The 323.5ci L-head straight-eight features five main bearings as well as a single-barrel carburetor for a factory rating of 135 horsepower.
