1947 Ford Standard, Deluxe, & Super Deluxe

This 1947 Ford Super Deluxe woodie wagon was acquired by the seller in 2007 and underwent a refurbishment from 2009 to 2012 that included replacement of the wood framework and doors as well as a repaint to the fenders and hood. It is powered by a Chevrolet 327ci V8 paired with a three-speed column-shifted manual transmission. Equipment includes brown vinyl upholstery, 16″ body-color wheels with chrome hubcaps and beauty rings, a rear spare-tire carrier, three rows of bench seats, an AM radio, and front vent windows. Service in 2020 included replacement of the brake shoes and wheel cylinders along with an oil change and chassis lubrication. This ’47 Ford is now offered with refurbishment photos, service records from current ownership, and a clean California title in the seller’s name. The wood framing and doors were replaced during a refurbishment that occurred between 2009 and 2012. At that time, the front and rear fenders as well as the hood were repainted in their current shade of white. Equipment includes a black vinyl roof covering, a tailgate-mounted spare tire and cover, plus chrome bumpers and side moldings. Steel 16″ wheels are finished in matching white with chrome hubcaps and beauty rings and are wrapped in Firestone 6.00-16″ whitewall tires. The brake master cylinder was replaced, and replacement wheel cylinders and brake shoes are said to have been fitted in January 2020. The interior features three rows of bench seating upholstered in brown vinyl along with rubber floor coverings and wood door panels. Equipment includes an AM radio, front vent windows, an under-dash heater, ivory-colored Bakelite dash trim, an aftermarket turn-signal stalk, and sun visors. The two-spoke steering wheel features a horn-ring button and frames factory instrumentation consisting of a 100-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges, while a pod below the dash houses aftermarket SunPro gauges for amperage, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 52k miles, approximately 600 of which were added by the seller; true mileage is unknown. The replacement Chevrolet-derived 327ci V8 features an Edelbrock carburetor, an Edelbrock intake manifold, red valve covers, and a chrome air cleaner. An oil change and chassis lube are said to have been performed in May 2020. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission. The seller states that the chassis number indicated on the title—1282730—has not been located on the vehicle.
