This 1953 Chevrolet 210 is a two-door wagon that is said to have been fabricated from two Handyman wagon bodies and a sedan and is powered by a 327ci V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. The car was built under previous ownership and is finished in metallic red with a copper roof over brown leather upholstery. Additional equipment includes an Edelbrock intake manifold, a Quick Flow carburetor, an aluminum radiator, Vintage Air air conditioning, Ridetech coil-over suspension, front disc brakes, a dual exhaust with electronic valves, a custom center console, and a JL Audio sound system with XM satellite radio. The car was acquired by the seller in 2015 and subsequently received the Good Guys Award of Excellence in 2017 after which it appeared on the March 2022 cover of Street Scene magazine. This custom Chevrolet wagon is offered with a build sheet, car show awards, magazines, and a clean Pennsylvania title. The body is fabricated from two wagon bodies combined with a sedan body and is finished in Red Rock Crystal with a Copper Penny roof and pinstripes that turn into flames under the rear windows. Modifications include chopping the roof 2″ in the front and 8″ in the rear, shaving and smoothing body panels, fabricating the B- and C-pillars, leaning the tailgate forward, and redesigning the grille with a floating center bar. Equipment includes Frenched headlights, Lee taillight lenses with 1954 Chevy surrounds, chrome bumpers and trim, aftermarket window tint, dual side mirrors, a painted front Chevrolet badge, a rear “Fauxmad” badge, and dual exhaust outlets. Staggered-diameter Foose wheels are wrapped in 215/45-18 front and 275/40-20 rear Falken Ziex ZE950 tires with 2015 date codes. The suspension was rebuilt with Ridetech coil-overs and traction bars in the rear. Power steering is fitted, and stopping is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. The interior features front and rear bench seats trimmed in brown leather upholstery with matching carpets and trim. Additional amenities include a custom center console with cupholders, Vintage Air air conditioning, lap belts, and a hidden JL Audio stereo with a glovebox-mounted XM radio receiver and aftermarket speakers. A two-spoke steering wheel with a chrome horn-ring frames Classic Instruments gauges including a 140-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 6k miles, approximately 1,200 of which were added by the seller. True mileage is unknown. The cargo area is finished in matching red with wood trim around the windows and on the floors along with chrome divider strips. The rebuilt 327ci V8 features a polished Edelbrock intake manifold, a Quick Flow carburetor, an aluminum radiator, and a Moon Equipped air cleaner and valve covers. The dual exhaust system features electronic valves controlled by console-mounted buttons. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. Additional photos of the underbody are provided in the gallery. The serial number is consistent with a six-cylinder 1953 Chevrolet 150 built at the Baltimore assembly plant and matches the VIN shown on the Pennsylvania title. The seller notes that the car passed a Pennsylvania state vehicle inspection in 2021.
