This 1954 Chevrolet Corvette is the 921st of 3,640 examples produced for the model year. It is powered by a 235ci “Blue Flame” inline-six paired with a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission and is finished in white over red vinyl. Features include 15” red-finished steel wheels with faux knock-off spinners as well as a beige soft top, a curved windshield, clip-on side curtains, wire mesh headlight guards, an AM radio, a heater, and a dash-mounted rear-view mirror. Acquired by the selling dealer in 2023, this C1 Corvette is now offered in Alabama with an owner’s manual and an Iowa title. The car is finished in white and equipped with a beige convertible top. The selling dealer reports that the front fenders were refinished at some point under prior ownership and that additional areas of paintwork are visible. Exterior details include a curved windshield, wire mesh headlight guards, a chrome grille, a driver-side mirror, directional signals, and clip-on side curtains with Plexi-glass windows as well as Chevrolet fender badging, a three-piece rear bumper, and dual exhaust outlets exiting through the rear valance. Red-finished 15” steel wheels feature polished covers with faux knock-off spinners and are mounted with 6.70-15 Sears Allstate Guardsman whitewall tires. The C1 was equipped from the factory with an independent front suspension, front and rear hydraulic shocks, and a live rear axle with semi-elliptical leaf springs. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel drum brakes. The bucket seats are faired into the rear bodywork and trimmed in red vinyl, which is complemented by a color-coordinated dash pad, carpets, and door panels. Interior appointments include a dash-mounted rear-view mirror, an AM radio, an analog clock, a heater, a floor-mounted shifter, and polished door sills. The two-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and fronts a 140-mph speedometer. A central 5k-rpm tachometer is flanked by gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, amperage, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 77k miles, approximately 50 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. The 235ci “Blue Flame” inline-six was factory equipped with three Carter YH side-draft carburetors. Power is routed to the rear wheels via a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. The current Iowa title carries “Not Actual Miles” and “In Lieu of Title” notations. Filed under: c1
