This 1955 Ford Ranch Wagon was purchased by its current owner in 2006 and subsequently refurbished and modified with work that involved a repaint in beige and Mercury Spruce Green Metallic as well as the installation of a Chevrolet ZZ4 350ci V8 that is backed by a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission and an 8″ rear end with a 3:52:1 Detroit Locker differential. The car rides on 15″ American Racing wheels and is further equipped with power steering, coilover suspension, and four-wheel disc brakes. The interior was re-trimmed in tan leather with front power-adjustable seats that were reportedly sourced from a 1997 Mercury Cougar, and features include power windows, air conditioning, and a Sony CD stereo. This Ranch Wagon is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner in Nevada with a clean Montana title. Finished from the factory in Aquatone Blue, the bodywork was stripped and repainted in beige and Mercury Spruce Green Metallic with airbrushed accents. Features include a hood ornament, chrome bumpers and trim, a driver-side mirror, sliding rear side windows, and a two-piece tailgate. American Racing Torq Thrust wheels are mounted with 215/70 front and 255/70 rear Cooper Cobra tires. The suspension has been modified with a Fatman Fabrications front subframe along with KYB coilovers, stainless-steel control arms, and a front sway bar. The car is equipped with power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering, and braking is handled by four-wheel power-assisted discs. The cabin houses front power-adjustable seats upholstered in tan leather that were reportedly sourced from a 1997 Mercury Cougar, along with a matching rear bench seat and a color-coordinated headliner, carpeting, and door panels with gray inserts. Amenities include air conditioning and power windows along with a custom center console that houses a floor shifter and a Sony CD stereo. An NRG steering wheel trimmed in tan leather is mounted on a tilting column ahead of Dakota Digital instrumentation that consists of a speedometer, a tachometer, and readouts for fuel level, oil pressure, voltage, and coolant temperature. The odometer indicates 13k miles driven since the refurbishment. The cargo compartment is pictured above. A spare tire is stowed beneath the floor. Power is from a ZZ4 350ci V8 that is equipped with an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, an Edelbrock AVS2 carburetor a Walker radiator with an electric fan, and Sanderson headers feeding into a dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers. A custom fuel tank is connected to a Hagen fuel filler. The oil was last changed in 2023.
