1956 Mercedes-Benz 190SL

This 1956 Mercedes-Benz 190SL is a non-running project that is finished in yellow over black MB-Tex. It is equipped with a 1.9-liter inline-four, a four-speed manual transmission, a black convertible top, dual Solex carburetors, and a Pioneer radio. Recently acquired by the selling dealer, this project 190SL is now offered at no reserve with a California title. Originally Graphite Gray, the car was repainted in yellow at some point. It is equipped with a black convertible top, photos of which can be found in the gallery. Also provided are close-up photos of paint imperfections, missing trim, and spots of damage. The 13″ steel wheels are painted to match the body and wear chrome trim rings and hubcaps. The Cornell whitewall tires need replacement. The 190SL was factory equipped with double-wishbone front suspension, a rear swing axle with coil springs, and power-assisted drum brakes. The cabin is upholstered in black MB-Tex with a body-color dashboard. Close-up photos of the door jambs, footwells, floorboards, soft top interior, and door bottoms are provided in the gallery. Instrumentation includes a 140-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure, water temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows approximately 95k miles. The 1.9-liter M121 inline-four does not run and is equipped with twin Solex carburetors. The car is equipped with a fully synchronized four-speed manual transmission.
