1957 Chevrolet Corvette C1

This 1957 Chevrolet Corvette Fuelie was purchased by the current owner in 2010 following a refurbishment that is said to have included overhauling the fuel-injected 283ci V8 and repainting the car in black over a refreshed red interior. Equipment includes a four-speed manual transmission, a PosiTraction limited-slip rear end, a white convertible soft top, a body-color hardtop, silver-finished side coves, split chrome bumpers, dual exhaust outlets, 15″ steel wheels with bright covers, and a Wonder Bar AM radio. This C1 is offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with service records and a clean Colorado title in the current owner’s name. The car was repainted under previous ownership in black with silver coves. Exterior equipment includes a white convertible soft top, a body-color removable hardtop, a wrap-around windshield, split chrome bumpers, and dual exhaust outlets that exit through the rear bumper uprights. The 15″ steel wheels wear covers with faux knock-off spinners and are mounted with 6.70-15 Firestone Deluxe Champion tires. The car came equipped from the factory with an independent front suspension and semi-elliptical rear leaf springs. Braking is handled by drums at each corner. The refreshed cabin features twin bucket seats trimmed in red vinyl along with a color-coordinated twin-cowl dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes a floor-mounted shifter, a clock, a dash-mounted rearview mirror, and a Wonder Bar AM radio. The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer, and center-mounted instrumentation consists of a tachometer, an ammeter, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 70k miles. The 283ci V8 features Rochester Ramjet mechanical fuel injection, and the engine is said to have been overhauled under prior ownership.
