This 1958 Chevrolet 3100 is a Cameo pickup that was acquired by the seller in Canada five years ago and subsequently refurbished and modified to resemble an earlier GMC model. Work included fitting GMC panels and refinishing the body, reupholstering the cabin, and installing a 6.0-liter Vortec V8 with an NV3500 five-speed manual transmission and a Ford 8.8″ rear end. Additional equipment includes 15″ Rocket Racing wheels, a Total Cost Involved independent front suspension, rear airbags, power steering, four-wheel disc brakes, FiTech engine management, an oak veneer wood slat bed floor, a Hurst shifter, a 20-gallon fuel cell, an Impala-sourced steering wheel, and Dolphin gauges. Previously listed on BaT in November 2023, This 3100 Cameo is now offered again in Canada with refurbishment photos and Saskatchewan registration in the seller’s name. Cameo pickups were equipped with molded fiberglass outer bedsides and outer tailgate skins. Under the seller’s ownership, the body was removed from the frame and disassembled, fitted with patch panels, and repainted in black. A 1955 GMC hood, fenders, grille, and bumper were also installed, and the bed was finished in red. Additional equipment includes windshield and side window visors, chrome rear bumperettes, and a 20-gallon fuel cell mounted under the raised oak veneer wood plank bed floor. 15″ Rocket Racing wheels are wrapped in 215/70 Cooper Trendsetter thin whitewall tires. The truck was fitted with a Total Cost Involved independent front suspension with tubular A-arms, an airbag rear suspension, power steering, and four-wheel disc brakes. The cabin was repainted and reupholstered in red and features a diamond-quilted Snowden bench seat with integrated cup holders as well as a Hurst shifter, and an aftermarket Wilwood pedal set and brake cylinder. Switches and a gauge for the rear airbag system are mounted under the dashboard, and a controller for the FiTech Go EFI system is housed in the glove box. The replacement steering wheel was sourced from a 1961 Impala and it is mounted on a tilting column. The custom gauge bezel houses a Dolphin 140-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and readouts for fuel level, voltage, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The odometer has been reset to zero and does not work. The 6.0-liter Vortec V8 was installed under the seller’s ownership and equipped with a FiTech Go EFI system. Additional equipment includes an aftermarket throttle body, a custom air intake system, an aluminum radiator with an electric fan, stainless steel headers, and a 2.5″ custom stainless steel exhaust system. Power is sent to the rear wheels through an NV3500 five-speed manual transmission and a Ford 8.8″ rear end with 2.73:1 gearing. The vehicle is being offered on its Saskatchewan registration, which serves as the ownership document in Saskatchewan, Canada. The sale does not include a title.
